Something I started last night and carried on until 5 in the morning. Inspired by the end of summer and all of the memories from the past 3 months.

I love the strings... this is the stuff that you would want to hear in a huge party near the end of the set with a big dj playing and with all the energy built up and then bam! This track drops and it just gets to you emotionally.
I am a big fan of strings (me playing classical violin), and you've captured certainly something really beautiful about your summer. This sounds like it belongs in a movie.
Anyways, my only slight complain is that the grainy sounding synth seems to have too much detune on and it sounds a bit too off tune for my tastes.
But exceleent work nevertheless, and send this one off! |

excellent tune! it really pisses me off that you did this in one night ... grrr...
anyway enough negativity because this track sounds really great! i would love to hear the full-quality version because it's really hard to hear the percs at 96.
i love the lead melody sound. is that some crazy lfo action making it so "warbly?" |

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
The synth is indeed uses an lfo to modulate the frequency at an extremely fast rate to give it that distorted sound.
Yeah the 96 kills a lot of the highs unfortunately, can't hear any of the white noise on the pads that make it sound euphoric. Hopefully Luke will spin the 192 sometime ;)
I didnt refer to the Gladiator theme when making this, i'll have to check it out. |
