Sonique vs. WinAMP?

Slightly off topic, this one, but please bear with me..
I've recently changed MP3-player, from WinAMP to Sonique, because of the sound-quality, and the better looks of it. But I do miss the playlist from WinAMP, that scanned the MP3s for length and info at startup. Also, it was possible to scroll the list using the sidebar, which, I found, was an easy and comfortable way of finding the exact track I wanted. Sonique merely writes the filename of the MP3s and an estimated time of 0:00, and if I have to scroll through a long list of MP3s I need to repeatedly hit the Page Up/Down key.
Does anybody know if there exists a skin which includes a better playlist for Sonique, or do I have to go back to WinAMP? |

| I like my Winamp. I heard that Sonique uses up alot more RAM, not a problem for me since I got 192-RAM but I still like my Winamp better. |

| I went through a similar debate awhile ago. I hated Winamp for the logest time cause it doesn't look very cool and the sound quality isn't very hot. Sonique looks cool, and the visualizations are easy, but the playlist is very not goodness. It also had some big time issues running on my computer. There really isn't anything you can do right now. I use Winamp and wait for Sonique v.2 to come out - cause they will are supposedly fixing all the strange crap that goes along with the original. peace. |

WEll im usuing Winamp for awhile now ....people saying sound quality isnt that good with winamp ...hmmm to me it sounds perfect... mayb my ears are bad!.

If you would like to get good sound quality from winamp, there is a .dll that will change the decoder to the much better mpg123 decoder..if u search the net it is easy to find and it makes winamp sound 100x better..

| hey mizz, i was looking for that .dll but only found a different player called mpg123 or something. is it on the winamp site? or am i just not looking hard enough? peace. |

| I use winamp but, the new version 2.71, takes ages to load the playlist! Quite annoying! |

I've always used winamp. Never any problem with it. Quit good program. When it is good, why change?
The only thing that can be better is that I agree with DAPplayer, the loading of the playlist. it takes to long.
