Yeah, so I flew back to LA on Wednesday from France. Trip SUCKED.

Here's why:

Leave Toulouse for London Gatwick on Tuesday night. Arrive 11pm. Catch train to Victoria station. Use french passport to go through customs. US passport is in jacket pocket.

Arrive at Victoria. US passport gone. :conf:

Search in vain. No avail.

Figure I'll have to go into the US on my french passport. Taxi to Heathrow airport. Try to sleep in terminal at 2am. Flight leaves at 10am. 6am. Have breakfast. 7am. Go to check in. Lady says it is against the law to enter the US on a foreign passport if you are a US citizen. Not allowed on the flight. Frantically go to ticket counter to rearrange plans. Book for 4:30pm flight. Run to catch a taxi to get to the US Embassy. Get there. Man outside says I need to have photos if I want a new passport. Walk 8 blocks to pharmacy to get pics. Get back to embassy. Wait in line. Get in finally, and pics are too BIG :whip: Go BACK to get new pics. Get back to embassy. New temporary passport made and I am sent on after 2.5 hours in embassy.

Get to Heathrow at 3pm. Check in. Get on plane. :wtf:

Watch Shrek 2 on plane. Spanish cat hilarious. Pass out after a few drinks and sleep all the way to LA.

Whoever stole my passport can burn in hell.

About 5 or 6 years ago, I had a nightmare of a trip to Norway.
Flew from Denver to New York (LGA) six hour lay over and had to change airports to Kennedy. Fly to Reykavik or Amsterdam for a couple hours of lay over. Norwegian airport was on strike so I had to fly to Goteborg Sweden and then take a four hour bus ride back to Oslo. The trip that way took about 24 hours.

On the way back it was similar. I got to fly from Oslo this time to Iceland to Kennedy. Change airports to Laguardia. Flight came in during the evening and I had to go and stay in a hotel then catch a flight at like 6 or 7am to Denver. Both ways were definitely a pain in the ass!

On the plus side I got an exit row seat on the flight home. A crew fold down seat was directly in front of me about 4 feet away and facing me. We go to takeoff and one of the hottest flight attendants I have ever seen sits down in that seat... :tongue2

She was smokin...especially for a Brit!!
