That has guitars in?
Also, while this thread's here, are there any trance tracks with heavier guitars in them- like metal guitars? These York and Chicane tracks all have weak acoustic guitars or whatever, I mean heavy riffs. |

SYSTEM-J: You're right. This is an awfully underexploited area rich for future development. It's such an obvious idea. I wouldn't mind more metaltrance myself, something of a Dimmu Borgir (who have some crazy synth riffs) mixed with Ferry Corsten (who is, of course, open to experimenting with electro and beyond)... ;)
I think a problem lies in the fact that metalheads (not to be confused with Metalheadz) conventionally, as a generalization, find trance music to be of poor taste, and vice-versa. There are a rising number of, say, breaks and DnB productions spiked with hard guitars as have been named, but I think there could be a beautiful fluidity between the hypnotic oscillations and the heavy DISTORTION!
If the situation gets desperate, I'll be tempted to pitch in and contribute. :D |

It's not exactly trance but the Morning Scifi album by Hybrid has several guitar influences in. I'd say it could appeal to non EDM fans too.
Also already mentioned which I'll agree on... Infusion - Legacy (junkie xl mix) ...and not forgetting in a similar vein, Trafik - Your Light (luke chable mix).. again not really trance but hey ;)
Oh and there was a remix G&D played of Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit at Global Gathering this year, haha.. was weird. Dunno the name of it though :conf: |
