Has anyone here owned or have been playing any ELECTRIC VIOLINs?
I'm seriously considering buying one and I have no idea what to buy...I don't want to get suckered into buying a piece of crap.
*Also, some come with the option of hooking up headphones for silent playing. ANy thoughts on this?
*ANY help would be appreciated! :conf: :conf: :conf: |

Sorry I can't help, but I went to some event where there was this one chick along side the dj playing an electric violin :eyes:
She was playing the melody to Seven Cities and the place just went nuts :D
If you plan on doing something like this, well then...much respect! :D |

| I've seen both an electric violin and an electric cello. Quite cool, actually. I do fine with just a violin, but I don't know what you plan on/would like to do with an electric one. |

You do play violin, right? Else forget it!
I own a Yamaha (i believe it's the SV-120). It is nice but i prefer my real violin. The Yamaha has unfortunately a very uncomfortable "built-in" shoulder rest. It's definitely great for general music, but i do not play classical songs with it. I suggest you to be really sure what you need one for, before you buy one. You should absolutely try as many as possible if you buy one. |

So don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that ed up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive

What would possess someone to play the violin?
I mean sure your parents could force you to when you are young and you can't think for yourself. But in adulthood?
And an electriv violin?
Is that like a sporty Volvo? |
