I suppose I'm just trying to make a start somewhere - school I would have thought would be the best place - I know everyone there so I dont think I would really be making a fool of myself - but perhaps you are right - theres probably a better place and time..............

Please look at my edit of what you should play. Please see above.
Warning do not play anything that might be quickly percieved as annnoying repetitive sh!t to those virgins. I would recommend p;aying some good vocal trance to interests the girls which in turn will interest the guys.
Lets be honest, you have 10-15 min. to grab the crowd. Dont waste time building your set or playing those ok tunes. Go for the kill immedietly. This is your opportuniuty! Seize it! Look for recent killer tunes. Dont bust out some 2-3 yr. old trance tune!!
I will give two tune to start off your set but thats all :). This will give you an idea of where to go. I promise you this will not fail and you will thank me later. 1st song - Paul Van Dyk - Thats Life ( pitched up 3% to 145 bpm). This will definetly get everybody;;s attention. ANd get the girls to start taking off their clothes and the guys excited to dance. 2nd song --->>Paul Van Dyk - Nothing But You ( club mix , pitched up 4% 145 bpm). Again the girls will be melting in their pants and the guys will thank you.
Than with the songs I edited for you (look above) play something like Nu NRG etc. Play Tiesto as your very last song.
You have 4-5 songs to quickly convert newbies over. These are safe and proven tracks. Now just dont f#ck up the mix!! Please do not play annoying beaty sh!t or super repettive crap. You will kill the crowd, especially those in the crowd with a predisposed idea of trance as being such. |
