Gabriel & Dresden - best vocal trance remixers ever?
View this Thread in Original format

I don't know if you guys have noticed but (almost) everything G&D remix turns into gold.. I mean they have so many great vocal remixes, for example:

Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Andain - Beautiful Things (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Above and Beyond - No one on earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Way Out West - Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
DJ Tiesto - In My Memory (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)

Here comes my question: Do you think G&D are the best vocal remixers or is there anyone who is better in remixing vocal tracks?
Trance Nutter
I reckon you're on the right track there, add in:

Annie Lennox - Pavement Cracks
Sarah McLachlan - Fallen
Deborah Cox - Play your part
Evanescence - Hello
Nalin & Kane - Beachball

The Deborah Cox one is okay, the others absolutely fantastic

You could always post this in the poll section of the forums

Ampz

ps. I think they are the best vocal REMIXERS out there

I don't agree with your statement that G & D are "the best vocal trance remixers ever", and to be honest, i really don't see the point of starting a thread about it. I respect your opinion, but therein lies the problem. It is your opinion, and every single person on this forum will have a different opinion, so it will never be a conclusive statement.

P.S. I prefer DJ Tiesto or Ferry Corsten

First, I haven't said that IMO G&D are the best remixes ever, this was just a question to all TA's, and second, the point to start a thread like this isn't to find a conclusive statement, the point is - so simply it is - to hear other opinions to this topic.

I don't know if I would call them the best, per se, but they are pretty damn good. Their mix of Dave Gahan - "I need you" is another good vocal track remix of theirs. Above and Beyond have mixed a lot of good vocal tracks as well as Thrillseekers. It's hard to pick a favorite. I think you guys missed "Summer Calling" in their list of achievements too.
dj_alucard
the only vocal G&D that still gives me shivers

is the

beber and tamra - travelling on(gabriel and dresden campfire vocal)

prolly still one of my all time faves as well

there southern sun remix is still amazing but not for the vocal but that last 4 or 5 minutes of the track where the fx make me cry

well....

i prefered Armins remix of As The Rush Comes and i prefered Tiestos original mix of In My Memory. As for the best vocal remixers i rate Above&Beyond very highly, probably higher than Gabriel&Dresden.

hard to say the best remixers thou, they do seem to churn out a lot like A&B though
