I am not a morning person. To make it even worse, I sleep in a basement apartment. This means that no matter what time I get up, and no matter how light it is outside, it's always pitch black in my room.
I find that it's starting to take me about an hour to finally get out of bed.
What are your strategies for getting up as soon as that alarm goes off? |

Get a metal mesh screen and put it under your sheet.
Connect the metal mesh screen to a timer that is connected to a car battery.
When the timer goes off in the morning you face electrocution. |

drink a glass or two of water the night before. works for me :p
ps. not to be used in tandem with rj's shock-alarm.. patent pending i assume.. |

put your alarm clock far enough away so you have to go up to turn it off.
i have the same problem as you, reaaaaly tierd in the morning, but that usually works. also just decide that you have to go up and if you are strong enough you will :p |

| my alarm clock has the most annoying sound on the planet and i put it a fair distance away from myself so that wakes me up for sure, then i hit the shower and that definitly wakes me the up. |

| Set your alarm clock 1 hour before you actually HAVE to get up. I use a similar tactic, and it works fine for me (most of the time.) :D |

| Glass of water b4 bed works good and so does alarm far away but i find what works best is programming my stereo to go off 10 - 15 minutes before my bastard alarm clock goes off. Trance is the best to wake up to. Whats really cool too is that sometimes the trance will be in your dream if your dreaming. |

yeah cell phones are the best =)
i don't even have a *real* alarm clock :p
also mine has this recurrent alarm function which is really good cause then you can set it to alarm mondag-friday @ 07.15 or whenever i go up, and don't need to bother about setting the time everyday :p |

| You have to wake up as you finish a cycle of REM sleep (deep sleep). Cycles are every 90 minutes, so sleep 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, etc hours and you should wake up pretty easily. Just use increments of 90 minutes. |
