all the time mate, all the time
if trance doesnt put you on a high or send rushes all over your body once in a while then you dont belong on these boards |

word.
when u get those goosebumps, when you feel like your heart has stopped beating, when you feel that you could happily die right then and there...trance is giving you a natural high baby. and yes, when ur body simulates e-rushes...it makes u feel all the higher...all the more intense |

| of course it gets you high...well it does for me. it's sort of the same caliber as a sex high...sex isn't drugs...it's totally natural, so it's possible to get "high" from things like music. i get "high" when i drive in, or think of nice sports cars too:stongue: |

I find that if a new track really gets me going, the first couple of times I listen to it, i get goosebumps up my arms, back and neck.
it happened with:
Binary Finary - 1999 (PvD) <-- first time I ever heard proper trance
more recently:
Adam Sheridan - Lektrik
Ace's Delight - Mental Theme
for the first few weeks of me listening to these in headphones, i'd get the tingles :D
havent had any tracks since Lektrik do that to me.... yet ;) |

Music is my #1 passion.
Ever since i was 3yrs old i remember carrying my little teddy rugspin "boom box" and blasting 80's music on it.
I've always loved music and I know I always will.
One song can make me feel so many things, send chills up my spine, and yeah guys- even make me feel so damn happy/sad i cant do anything else but sit there in a daze thinking about life.
Even if im on some sort of drug....music always makes it so much better....if im at a get together- i must have music.... in my car, in my room, while i cook, while I sleep.....
music is all |

well i've got you both beat since my mom put headphones on her stomach when she was pregnant.
but yea, i remember when i was a kid (like 3 +) i used to get emotional about music that early in life. i would jam out to 80's stuff too (i have an older sister)...mainly like freestyle. lol Johnny O and Stevie B....all the rock stuff too...motley crue, whitesnake, etc... i loved it all.
my very first concert i went to was Heart. my mom took me w/ her and my uncle. i knew every word to all the Heart songs and would beg my mom to play that cd over and over. heart rocks. |

thats pretty much the dj's job.
the best dj imo is one who can bring me into trance (easier in a live event then at home, but possible in both situations)
that usually requires a hook (not meaning a commercial hook, but more a track that you really love and enjoy) somewhere in the begining to get you to REALLY REALLY pay attention to the set,,, and a hypnotic vibe from that point on will take care of the rest.
a real quality set is one that gets me to forgetting where am i.
one that can basically make me go 'unconscious',, but when i 'awake' at its end, or due to an error in the mixing/track selection, i feel SO SO SO GOOD, realizing the fact that ive just been out of it for the past whatever amount of time dancing my ass off/bouncing my head in my lazyboy.
thats the true caliber of an excellent dj,
and should be the only measure as to who's the 'best' dj out there.
(and for me, its defintley not armin, pvd, tiesto, or whichever top selling dj, not because their commercial, but just because they cant bring me into a trance)
