Ok, some of you might consider this as a repost. But in fact it appeared that the url I gave in the last post never worked due to some problems with web hosting (free.fr are real fxxxckers). Anyway here it is. Hope you'll enjoy it.
Track listing:
Flash Brothers - Sarcasm
Bedrock - Voices (Freelance Icebreakers remix)
The Orb - Once More (Bedrock remix)
Delerium - Innocente (Deep Dish Gladiator remix)
Jaimy & Kenny D - Like a Bitch
POB - Waah (Seis mix)
Lost Witness - Happiness Happening (Way out West remix)
Sarah Mc Lachlan - Fear (Hybrid remix)

Short but nice. It starts tribal with the Flash Brothers, then turns successively into prog-trance, then prog-house, to finish on some vocal breaks. In this mix, I wanted to combine different styles, with their moods, while keeping a logic in the flow of the tracks. It is yours to judge. |

Hey Corentin,
Just listened to your set. I enjoyed it very much. It was an easy listen which are always the best kinds of sets.
Your transitions were spot on....great job.
The flow of the tunes went nicely, especially the last two tunes.
The only tune I didn't think went with the overall feel of the set is the first tune. I know what you were trying to do and I think you acheived it but this first song is so different from everything else i found myself having to adjust when the second song came in.
The song in and of itself is a great tune...propably my favorite of the tracklist...hehe...isn't that strange....yet imo doesn't fit with the flow you create with the rest of the set.
Great job bro....keep it up!

It's amazing how well some WOW/Hybrid stuff mixes together, almost as if they were destined to be on the same label.
WOW's "Happiness Happening" Remix fits eerily well with Hybrid's remix of Carl Cox's "Phuture 2000," for instance. Speaking of, I have a set from that era including this very transition that I need to get hosted somewhere for sharing.
Re: your mix, I guess I have to be a member @ globalbeatz to download this? That's not too raw of a deal as long as I don't get spammed to death, I suppose. |

In fact, you won't be spammed at all. So give it a try.
And I can tell you that the Hybrid and Way out West mixes of the set don't make exception to what you said. It's like they were ment to follow each other. By the way, I must say that it is how I like to work when I do a set. I don't really have such an extensive record collection. But I try and get the maximum out of it. When you take time, you allways fall on two tracks that when payed together, give you chills in the neck for the next hour. So, expect to see some new stuff in that very direction posted in the near future. To give you an idea of what's coming:
...
Sonorous - Second Sun (Leama & Moor remix)
James Holden - One for You (Avus One for your Head remix)
Solar stone - Solar Coaster (Original)
See you soon! |
