kind of a dumb thread, but since i knocked the circuit breaker 2x alredy tonight, i was wondering what electronics, computers etc other people have running right now, so what's consuming your electricity ???
here's me in my shoe-box studio:
TV
Sourround Sound
Computer (regular going full speed burning dvd's)
Computer (server/download going full speed downloading)
Light
Fridge
Alarm Clock
Bathroom Fan ( i dropped the kids off at the pool a few mins ago)
Air Conditioner in ma window
and half hour ago i had the microwave going. that knocked the circuit breaker 2x so i had to reset.
oh, i don't always run all these at once, but even still, they only charge me a fixed $15 USD/month in electricity/utilities. i think i use $15 worth of electricity in less than a week
:toothless

ps. i contribute to global warming. |

The lights, the central air conditioning, the computer, the alarm clock, and the fridge downstairs.
Probably a bunch of other silly little things that I'm forgetting. |

you cant draw voltage only current, hence why breakers arent rated in volts, they are rated in amperes, ie 120V 15A breaker will trip if more than 15 amps is drawn. which is why houses are wired in parallel, voltage stays constant
if you wire in series current stays constant and voltage will drop meaning that the first light will be bright and the fourth light may not even light up at all.
not trying to be a dick but posted FYI |
