People that irritate you.

This is the place to outline the people that you to tears.
It can be those of a certain profession, an ethnic group, a group of people, a person, a country, whatever people suck your gherkin dry, this is the place to bitch.
Mine:
1. Journalists
Are you able to get a job as a journalist if you have even a gram of decency, morals or honesty in your body? I don’t think so. Not only do people believe what these con men and women say, but they get the largest possible opportunity to voice their always incorrect opinions to the world. The scum of the earth in many cases these people are, and its almost good when they get killed in foreign places, although there isn’t enough culling this feral population in my country. The lowest standards of ethics in any industry.
2. Operator Assistance Staff.
Do people have to sit a stupid test to get a job for one of these companies?
An example of a call I made the other day:
“I’m looking for a doctor”
“How do you spell that?”
One the odd occasion they actually figure out what you are looking for, after the standard 5 minutes and 25 stupid questions, they have a cool knack for putting your through to the wrong number or even getting the city of choice wrong. Huge bunch of stupids.
3. Religious Nuts.
Whether its knocking on your front door, finding leaflets at the Laundromat telling me I’m going to die, putting up stupid signs on the front of their churches like “Forget Rambo and the Terminator Jesus is the real saviour”, preaching on the streets, ensuring young hot girls don’t get specced, these stupids are just plain annoying. Why don’t they grow up and realise that its 2004 and life is hear to be enjoyed, not stuck in the past?
I reckon low intelligence or no life skills are required for religious organisation membership.
Nothing worse then people trying to preach to you and idiots trying to blow other people up because they think it’s the right thing to do.
That’s all for now. |

MTV Kiddies
They have to be told what to listen to, how to dress, and how to act, rather than really be themselves and finding themselves. |

Theyre intelligent enough to respond to though ;)
Your average person is pretty stupid. Then some are extremists.
There is about 5% of people that I genuinly enjoy spending time with. |

I dislike people that preach about and then don't hold themselves to the same standard. I also dislike people that judge people because they aren't like them. We are a product of our environment. Not everyone was raised the same or had the same things available to them for life experiences. I judge people on how they treat me and how they treat the people that I care about.
Biggest complaint...people that have education available to them and choose to remain uneducated or just choose to act stupid. I have no tolerance for ignorance. It's one thing to be naive, but to choose to act like a complete moron because you think it makes you look cool is annoying as hell. People that talk slang all the time annoy the out of me. I feel like I need a translator sometimes even though they are speaking English. :wtf: |

Hmmm... I don't wish to hate and I talk more about the kinds of people I like. But if we're talking about irritation...
I assess based on the individual... but if I had to name a group I detest, it would be music snobs... in my earlier years, it was the classical music snobs. And now, the technosnobs. I am a pacifist and do not wish to wage a trance jihad vs. them, but in an alternate reality (a mirror universe), I could see myself with an Ibizan-2086 cannon soaking them with a solid stream of CHEESE. j/k :)
I have found some of them to be genuinely unhappy inside upon sitting down and talking with them... one girl I chatted with said she wanted to be more "unique" and express herself, and I asked her what was holding her back. She replied, that in society there is such pressure to conform, and especially as a female, to bend to certain beauty aesthetics in this culture and mannerisms. She felt trapped because no matter how much how she tried to be herself, she was reminded harshly by others that it wasn't good enough for them -- and these were her "friends"! All of them were locked in and no one could boldly take the first step towards freeing their minds (and no, I don't mean The Matrix (TM) ). What a vicious cycle. :( |

True about edu! :) And as an extension, I am irritated by those who LOOK DOWN on an education (be it formal, self-taught, or whatever) -- as in "acquisition of knowledge for theoretical discussion and practical usage to better one's life". I find that to be even worse. I can't relate to nor understand why some people would not take advantage of opportunities they are offered.
Also guilty are those who reply rudely and condescendingly when someone asks a polite question (*after* Googling ;) ) wishing to learn. |

Dishonest people. I've had 'friends' steal right out of my bedroom before. ing s.
People who don't keep their word.
Judgemental people, particularly those who do it over insignificant (how you dress, the music you listen to, what you eat, whatever).
Fake people, with fake personalities, fake ideals, basically just idiots who are either too stupid/too afraid to be themselves. |

A particular predicament for me that ticks me off, is when someone says "I'll call you sometime" or "Let's do lunch sometime" and it doesn't happen. So yes, small talk and bull -- on my list of things I avoid. I don't want to hear "yakkity-yak blahblahblah yadda yadda yadda", I want to talk about what is meaningful and true. :) |

It's 95% now?
It's increased? :( Even perceptually?
Theodore Surgeon once said it was 90%.
Ack. |

This attitude annoys me.
Everytime I've been to the States I've found a huge reluctance for their citizens to try to put their mind around slightly different ways of saying the same thing. Its almost like "this is the way I say it and I'm not even going to try and understand a term I'm unfamilar with". Its like use our exact language or none at all.
Well guess what? People from different parts of the word use different terminology and unless you only want to speak with your fellow countrymen, get used to it.
This doesn't work well with Aussies because all we talk is slang.
I found this hugely frustrating, because as much as our versions of English are similar there is very little attempt often made to understand new terms and phrases. |
