I have 3 gmail accounts to give and i started a new thread because it's easier to follow people...anyways, im sorry if it shocked some people like moderators or something..

What gets said through email (public email - ex. hotmail/yahoo/etc.) is rarely ever important/confidential, and, the 'scanning' is automated, just the way you see relevant contextual google ads on pages throughout the net on the fly. |

to a certain extend is the patriot act invasive? i'm aware of google and their automated systems, afterall they are my account here at mcgraw-hill, however im just skeptical of the amount of mail space they provide and their intention of giving them out for free. im sure they receive decent adversements from these accounts but lets be real here, google going public and their whole IPO scandal(yes i says scandal since i do not believe the media and their reports on false bids)
on the corporation side yes they are predominantly the most visible organization due to their simplicity. i know this first hand as MH is implementing new campaigns with Google as is I oversee such campaigns.
in a large part to this, you and I have seen mail being the preferred medium of file sharing and by the sheer amount of mail space they are offering, i believe it to appeal to those who encourage file sharing to use such an account. whether information is deemed important or confidential, to some extend i believe that any scanning of email is in violation of amendments. low and behold we have the patriot act which gives authorities the right to invade a persons privacy whether it be mail, email, or simply talking on a cell phone.
plain and simple, im just against the patriot act and the whole email scanning idea, whether it be virial or contextual, privacy should not be invaded |

| The patriot act is a whole other demon altogether and has nothing to do with contextual based advertising (a-la google), the content is on a page - it acts on it, that's it, just like I geo-target ads, same thing. |
