Now how many people could correctly identify the type of dog that is attacking them?
Im sure they are thinking "wow...this looks like a pitbull, but in actuality its an american bulldog".
Not saying there are no bad pitbulls either.
I believe that they should make owners/breeders more responsible for the actions of their dog, rather than punish the breed for irresponsible owners/breeders. |

i hate pitbulls:whip: i was just chillin at a party when all of the sudden there was a pitbull's jaws around my knee. Those dogs are vicious and evil.
plus, it seems lately they have been a trend in the u.s. Jump on the band wagon! |

Staffordshire bullterriers aren't vicious to people at all, they have extremely sound tempraments (There are some exeptions but very few), the only problem with them is that they don't like other animals. They are also quite temprature sensitive, they mustn't be taken for runs or overly played with during very hot days, and they should be kept in a warm place during winter. While they are pups they will chew on you every chance they get, untill they about 2 months old, they have extremely high biting power for pups that small and you will want to kill it, but they make up for it in the end. In my opinion the best dogs there are.
Make sure the parent dogs don't have history of ligament tears, or hip displasure , this will save you millions on vet fees, my first dog had to have both hind legs repaired for ligament tears, It cost me a fortune and after that everything just went downhill, the dog couldn't play or anything even though that was all it lived for.
Don't confuse them with american staffords though, they sort of Look like a cross between a pitbull and staffordshire bull, I have seen quite a few of them that seem very suspect when it comes to temprament. They could however be a good subtititute instead of a pit. |

Something I forget to mention.
If you do decide to buy these dogs, make sure you are upto the exersize they require, if you don't give them plenty of exersize they become very bored and will destroy EVERYTHING you have, including plants and pool filters and everything else.
Never make a stafford sprint in short bursts at full speed(throwing a ball within 10 meters) if you can help it, if they have bad ligaments that is the first thing that will kill them.
Sorry for the long post... |

These dogs are usually bought by guys that want to make up for having small dicks. |

whichever you pick, Its good your doing research about it before you just go out and get a dog...too many people just go out and buy a dog, then once they realize how much responsibility it is they either give it up, or just leave it in the backyard and fill up its food and water dish every now and then.
and have to add some pics of my Pit to this thread hehe:
