When the internet didn't really exist.....

So I was just thinking of some things that we had to do when the internet wasnt really around, that we think would be outlandish now....

Like:

- Game Players:

Like when Nintendo Power would have "code/password/hint" ads in their magazines, you would could call by phone and they'd help you out for like 99 cents a minute etc....that was really the ONLY way of getting that , other than the magazines themselves.

- you had to go to the STORE to buy something. Think about it. The only markets available were really catalogs and stores themselves. There was no other way of finding something. Doesn't sound too bad, until you want to find say a blue teddy bear as a gift. Today you search google, back then your ONLY option was to call and ask. Something as simple as say a certain type of batteries, was easily a pain to find.

- and ofcourse, buying cd's for just one track (I think we all did it atleast one time), today, doing this would be unthinkable.

Finding reviews of products is so easy these days, just a click away. Not too long ago you'd have to ask around and check through magazines to find info on a particular product (took days).

yea, i remember before i used the interet for the first time like 9 or 10 years ago, used to watch tv or play video games, i would go outside and play too. i guess myabe people go through a stage where they stay on the internet 24/7 but then stop using it so much. i can already tell by the amount i used to post here and by how much i post now
