I didn't see anything hooked up to record his set. Someone came up near the end of his set and hooked a MD recorder upto the mixer. Was that someone a TA? |

| Vixen and I had an absolute blast on Thursday night. I loved the fact that there were so few people, and everyone that did attend was so into the music. I thought Gielen played one of the best epic sets I've ever heard. To all of those I met: Durafei - Please attend every show in Toronto just in case I show up; it wouldn't be the same without ya. KevinExcite - You are one goofy bastard. Keep up the good work, I love ya baby :). Swamper - Thanks for making us feel welcome in Toronto. You're definately one the nicest people we've met. Boytrance - I didn't get to talk to you as much as I'd have liked. Thanks for asking about us on the forums. We had the greatest time! Viceroy - I unfortunately missed your damn set again. It seems to be alot harder to stay awake in Toronto than in Michigan. Maybe that 6 hour drive wears me out? :) If I didn't mention anyone, I apologize; Gielen's beautiful set is too much for me to bear, and I must go lie back down :). Take care all! |

Man lol.. i have been looking for a place to put my review of gielen.. well i guess this is the place...
I came down with Ckerr812 and me and him drove down to limelight.. as soon as we got in we saw gielen in the back... i went over and talked to him for a bit just told him that i was looking forward to his set.
Then when he came up it was just amazing.. !!
memorable tracks he played :
system F and avb - exhale
BEAUTY OF SILENCE (svenson & gielen)
Ultra - free (cant remember which mix it was)
2 simultanious flight 643s *drool * that was totaly nuts. it totally reminded me of his set with safri duo at trance energy
joy kitikonti's joyenergizer being played.. gielen grabed the record and played it back and forth and speed it up gradually.. that was totallly amazing!
L'esperanza (mixed with whitney huston?)
and many other airscape tracks which i cannot recall at the moment..
And Urban train lol
The night was great all in all.. I can't remember the name of the TA who was taking the movie footage.. but i cant wait to see it..
i was extremely happy that i got to take a picture with gielen and have a good long talk with him after his set.. it was nice to see my second favorite dj up close and chit chat with him :)
I hope everyone had a good night there. i was the guy with the glasses wearing the baggy blue jeans a white stripe on the side. and a tight black t-shirt going nutz onthe dance flooor
Shout outs go to Shmackers, Swamper, Ckerr812, Kid epic, Viceroy and all the other tranceaddicts i met that night..
And viceroy.. your set was incredible.. it was nice to hear you play sound of goodbye.. its an amazing track :)
