They won't get it right, just be content with second place. We beat the lamer czechs tonite then torch the finns. I don't see Canada losing because the team is just too good, too fast and too skilled.

Canada has been a tough opponent for every team, not just the Finns. Canada's team is just way to strong!

Unfortunately Marty Broduer isn't playing today. Hopefully Luongo can hold his own. We'll just have to keep piling the pucks in the net to help out the goaltender.

Oh, and btw. This tournament just reaffirms the fact that Mario Lemieux is still the best player in the world! ;)

the best current player in the world in your view, say it like that, the greatest player now is Jarome Ignila, the guy is just too good. The best player everimo was Wayne Gretzky, no one was as good as he was and he was just at another level.

This tournie is great to prove to the idiotic people who want to change the NHL rules, no red line, no handling the puck by goalies and the same people who say the NHL is boring. This proves that Hockey is still exciting when the skill level is up there, 90% of the players on the top 6 teams will all score if you leave them alone in the slot and it shows what skill certain players have and how exciting the games are. The Finns-Swedes game was off the hook, same with the USA-Finns and the Canada vs. USA. The rules should be left alone, take some teams out and the more skilled players = better games.

Completely agree...and after the shake-up of the lockout...don't be surprised if 4 or 5 teams fold up...especially if it's lengthy....like a full season :(

probably the only thing I can't agree with....though the name is World Cup...the trophy isn't a cup at all...it's more of a sculpture thingy...a work of art sorta. hehe at least it was back in '96

I don't know...but you brought it up...and since you are inclined to always be correct...you needed to be corrected.:tongue3 :tongue3

Who said I was always right, I've never said that. I'm wrong as well but my track record ain't bad, predicted Canada's 2002 olympic double, 2003 and 2004 world championships and I don't doubt that we will win. The game could be ugly as heck but as long as you win, it really does not matter. When I played hockey, we won ugly games but we won, my teams have been outplayed but we grinded it like typical Canadians. I don't see Finland beating us at home in the final, they are a good team but I just don't see the team allowing it to happen. Hockey is taken much, much more seriously in this country and only Canadian born people truly understand it.
