I think he has a point to some extent. I had a great time partying at Dance avelly and drinking more or less responsibly, something impossible to do here at 18. You can legally go to war and die for your country here before you can have a beer...

I forget who said it: "to live is the rarest thing in the world... most men simply exist, that is all"
That's become the bane of my existance. I've got this feeling, day in and day out, that I'm on the path to being middle aged and depressed because I hadn't lived my life. On the other side of the coin, I would like to be moderately successful... I don't care for being rich, but just to live in a nice little place and have some nice , and drive a cheap ass car, at least.
The problem is that I have no ing idea what I'm going to do with myself. I don't know if I should just pack up and go, or what. All I know is that I'm deathly afraid of suddenly being 20 years older, looking back and regretting it. I've got enough regret already. I carry that dreaded feeling around with me constantly, I simply can't ever shake it off.
Anyway... if I died tomorrow it would be an utter disappointment. Sure, I've got a few crazy memories (but still far, far too few for someone my age), but the biggest disappointment would be from the wasted potential. I guess if I have one goal in life, it's to be able to look back, when I'm ripe and old, and just be able to say "that was ing awesome" |

After what has happened recently, I have become quite pensive. I have realized that life is very short, and that my life right now is drab and routine. When I die, I want to have lived a full life, with a lot of experiences. Seen the world, met loads of new people, done silly things.
I am thinking that I may hop onto a plane and just go back packing through europe, living from job to job. Anything I can pick up.
But, the only thing stopping me is my need for companionship. I would want to have a familiar face come with me.
Has anyone just picked up and went some where? How was it? How did you do it?
I need to change things up a little. I need to live life to its fullest! |
