| Damn Ferry showed, unbelievable. The 5 or 6 hour drive for us just wasn't worth the possibility of him not being there. Ah well. I've never really been impressed with Guv. Just as Durafei said, the lights and sound system are awesome, but the lights are just eye candy to me. I'd much rather have a crowd filled with trance lovers than a bunch of neat lights and shirtless guys trying to pick up girls. |

Ferry ing owned!
I was at work till 10:30 than I got home and read DR. Trance's post where he confirmed that Ferry did sound check. I jumped the Go train and got to the GUV @ 12:30 waited for about half an hour and got in. I had to use the phone, so i had to go throught to the Orange Lounge? I think. WTF was that, was I dreaming or was it all filled with crackhead wanna be gangsters!
Got back to the main room had a beer and was looking for other TA's in that same spot where we were suposed to meet. DID not see anyone.
But I met my friend from school, to which I was surprised, was not really making any plans on meeting him.
Ferry came on @ 2 AM
he started off his set with:
DJ Tomcraft - Prozac
he also played
MIKE - Sunrise at Palamos
Gouryella - Walhalla
Goyryella - Tenshi
Push - Legacy
System F - Needlejuice
those are the ones that stood out the most.
my feet were hurting like a bitch and i was tired and sweaty by about 3:40 than my friend told me that he was going to leave.
So I had to decided whether I was gonna leave with him or wait until the first Go bus in the morning which is by the way @ 8:53AM!
SO I said to my self if Ferry plays
System F - Dance Valley Theme 2001
in the next 20 minutes, than I am leaving.
And what do you know he put it on as soon as I thought of it.
That was the tune that he left his decks the lights came on and the music just roared and everyone was in TRANCE! :D
I was getting goosbumps all the way down my spine!
I thought he played a very good set, the only disapointment is that now being to a bunch of different clubs I can say that I hate GUV because of all the sweaty pushing GINOS!
Hope everyone had as good of a time as I did last night! |

| DAMN!! When so one stiffs you twice, its kind of hard to keep faith in them, especailly since rumors everywhere where pointing to Corsten not showing up this Sat. I missed it and I'm pissed. :whip:  For all of you who where at Gielen and Corsten how would you compare the two (strictly in musical terms). How long was his set? Oh well, there is always Tiesto next Sat. :D |

"What about the boycott" - Viceroy
Well, about the boycott. I went purely for political reasons, and the bad turned good. I had a half hour conversation with Ferry and his manager about the past, and everything is on good terms now. My journey there was worth the expense and I'm happy that I left with a smile and not a frown.
And like I said to everyone when Tiesto came the first time, Ferry is better than Tiesto, and Armin is the best of the three. Mark my words, and don't let me say I told you so again.
True, Ferry did play an amazing set but it was sort of like hanging at Ministry of Sound or Gatecrasher. So many anthems, so many club tunes. Like they say in Europe, Ferry is the best "CLUB TRANCE" DJ. He likes the cheese, but the reality is that there aren't that many DJ's out there who play that style anymore. It all seems to have gone progressive. It is nice to hear and I enjoyed the ulifting sensation.
Just wait until Armin, and it'll all be over. peace,
spaceman |

well after all the rumours and calls to about 10 people about him coming, he actually did show. i'm so glad the family went out to see him. i was not sure how he'd do after ing us over twice, but HE DID WICKED and he even spoke into the mic to hype everyone after his set...he nicely mixed some CLASSIC tunes with new ones and kept my feet moving all night. mark oliver played one of the best sets i have seen too.
as spaceman said above though, just wait for armin van buuuuuuuren. we've experienced tiesto, seen ferry, and now we'll be catapulted into the sonic stratosphere by ARMIN.
i do have to say that the crowd at the guv last night sucked ass! and there were so many ed ginos walking around literally glaring at all the girls we came with :o
website for the armin party will be up next week....you have no clue whats about to hit you guys :D
on a last note it was really cool to see spaceman and ferry's mgr make up...sean from ravestar and i also made up..so it was just a positive vibe night for all.
peace and respect to all the TA's,
deacon
