The signs are all coming together!! First the swarms of insects downtown, then the attacks on a military symbol and our commerce structure. A botched attempt at taking out the symbol of government. Now this.
FERRY CORSTEN SHOWED UP!!!

I'll tell you, surprises don't even exist any more. Nothing can top this. For all those that made it, he played great and showed a lot of the energy that his Dutchness is known for. At one point the dj booth lit up and he stood aside of the turntables and started gyrating to the beat. The crowd went wild!! Reminded me a little of Tiesto, without the style. ;)

Lo and behold though, the one who stole the show was none other than our own Mark Oliver. Wow!! He must have pulled out his classic record box because aside from the amazing new he was playing he threw down some serious classics. They made me put my fists in the air and jump and shout. Took me back to the heydays when Trance's emotional peak would almost make you cry.

All in all an amazing night, even the crowd was decent. One point for Guv for this night. And with regards to Ferry, 1 out of 3 ain't bad!! Way to go man, represent!!

:D

LOL!!!

Ferry ripped it up! I almost broke down when i heard Madagascar being mixed into Out of the Blue. AAAAAAAA it was soooo nice hearing the classics from back in the day. And Ferry was GOING WILD behind the decks which was cool to see as well. And like you said too Mark WAS AMAZING (as he always is btw), playing Everyday made my night!
aaaaaaaaa what a good night! Wicked VIBE/MUSIC/ATMOSPHERE in Torontos best club THE GUVERNMENT! ooooooooo im sooooooo pumped up for Tiesto/PVD. This prog house snob (me that is) will for the next little while be partying like its 1999. lol

I apologize for any ill thoughts i had for Ferry and his not showing up business cause if it takes 3 attempts to get him here to do what he did last night, thats just fine.

I CANT FEEL MY LEGS...I need a new pair for Tiesto.

Maybe it was due to an AMAZING Johan's Gielen set on thursday, but I didn't enjoy Ferry's set all that much.

It was actually my first time at Guvernment. Just as everyone was saying, sound system and lasers ROCKED !!

But crowd.. Man, does the crowd suck. If anyone remembers what Tiesto defines as Trance - "Trance is when I forget everything around me and just hear the tunes". Well, then it wasn't trance yesterday. Whenever
I heard an amazing track and wanted to close my eyes and enjoy the music, somebody was pushing me in the back or stepping on my feet.
, at least say you are sorry..

Hopefully, there won't be so many show-offs and shirtless guys at Tiesto, because it really killes the vibe for me.

Other the that, music was pretty good. Not as good as Gielen's, but
still great..

Man, there should be parties for just as TranceAddicts, just like it was at Gielen on thursday.

...i could've SWORN it was trance i heard last nite!! maybe we were at different Guvernments...
But i understand where you are coming from with regards to the crowd...i HATE big sweaty disgusting guys who take their shirts off, and knock you aside...but i couldn't leave the dance floor to yak, no matter how sick these guys made me...
The only other thing that was TRULY lacking last nite were QUALITY chicks. TRANCE and just go so NICELY together!!

6 days and counting...

Holy ! I wasn't even gonna bother going to the Guv to get let down again, so I didn't until I was toled that Ferry was in toronto! I freaked, stole my mom's car, drove down to pick up KevinExcite (cool guy, we had just met a couple of parties previous!) and after geting lost a dozen or so times to get to his place, we finally made it to the Guv and caught the last 40 mins of Ferry's set! Man was it incredible though! Oh god how I wish we coulda gotte there earlier!! But it's allgood, great in party! And OMG the way he brought in Carte Blanche as the last song was unbelievable! Ferry corsten ROCKS! Peace.

anyone know if the set was recorded?
Boy trance
One last thing, can anybody tell me if Ferry played 'Apoptygma Berzerk - Kathy's Song (Ferry Corsten remix)' and/or 'William Orbit - Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte (Ferry Corsten remix)'??? Maybe somebody can start a tracklist thread?
