Has anyone actually recieved their CD yet?
Is it actually any different from the "promo" version i assume everyone has, I mean the quality of the mixing?
Some of the mixing in this CD is horrible and really puts a damper on the whole CD IMO. It would be great if the actual release fixed up the terrible mixing. |
The status of my order was "send" last night, I will receive it somewhere today! |

| quote: | | Yes, I think he was 'off' on purpose. I don't think that his beatmatching is bad, it is crude and creative. I've always seen Tiësto's mixing as pretty complex from a musicologist perspective. Much more unique than say Armin or Ferry, |

be careful where u say it though...
if u say that on the armin forum they start chasing you with a state of trance's back catalogue as deadly frisbee's
after all, half those same-old, same-old releases are just about worth being thrown at the enemy instead of gathering dust on the back shelf of the bargain bin of your local recordstore.
hmmz i feel better now. |

If you put in as much enthusiasm and effort as he does in running a radio show then i'd worship you.Sadly, that is not the case.
The sooner you realize that its easier to pass snide comments rather than doing something worthwhile for the cause of electronic music, the better.
Therefore......stfu. :) |

yeah that AvB is still doing asot for free is something we should respect him for but that doesn't mean he does more for the cause of the electronic music then any other artist like for example tiesto or marco v or sasha or whatever.
Pio is just making the same snide comments on armin like everyone does on tiesto nowadays.
Saying: "damn the mixing is horrible on this cd" without even backing it up with some arguments is as pathetic as saying armin van Boring.
So Pio no harm done mate keep it up :) |

Thank god Armin and Tiesto are different, it'd be very boring if they were the same
Anyeay moving back to the topic, I've heard the 4X12" pack today and it's much better than I'd anticipated. Will need to listen a couple more times before I really have a firmish opinion though. |
