Ahhh...I knew I shouldnt have questioned arturo's statement. :o

BUT

if you go to www.chemcialrecord.co.uk

and click under the forthcoming trance releases
it shows Robert Gitelman"Children of the Sun/ As You Wish is about to be released and the label shown is ID&T

why is this :conf: :conf:

Actually you are wrong. There is a 2-disc version. I bought it from Amazon. The 2-disc version comes in a standard jewel case, and I believe the 3-disc version comes in the metal case.

And about not buying the releases when they came out...I think Nell is correct in saying that for most people this release is perfect because either they haven't been around since these releases, they don't spin vinyl, or they don't have all of the money to track down and buy these vinyls.

Id&T is a dutch label & Vandit is German. Different labels for different countries. PvD cannot 'sell' his bootleg remix / reworks / edits as he is not the legal owner of them. Dont be such a fool.

I didnt know a record could be singed to two sepreate labels. I guess I learned something. Can you explain to why this would happen. Many thanks.

Reguardless. My point was in reference to an early thread about this song never seeing the light of day because Vandit signed it. As mentioned by other TA's and my own persoanl experience, Vandit had a notrous history of releasing records at long intervals. I was glad to see this track released on ID& T ( as seen when I checked chemcial records )

I opined that if he wanted to he could get the proper legal means to release his most recent remixes ( not children of the sun !! not sure where you thought I was refering to this song). However, I feel he doesnt do so now becuase he , IMO, feels he needs to protect these very new remixes for his sets. Until the remix is "old" and "played out" and receives the type of response you masterfully have stated about "Perfect REmixes" tha n I believe PVD and his management team than feel its "safe" to release the track.

records are released on many different labels around the world. Id&T will own licensing rights for the track in holland. Vandit will have rights over Germany, Austria & Switzerland. Maybe it will be signed to some other label for a release in america, for example. I dont know. There are only a few 'worldwide' labels, I think Perfecto definately used to be a worldwide label... so when something is signed to perfecto it wont be signed to anything else, unless Perfecto have signed it from another smaller label.

PvD never releases ANY of his reworks/edits etc... apart from the couple of strange things like agnelli & nelson & Starchaser... but the proper reworks that everyone will be wanting, Born Slippy, I Feel You etc.. wont ever be released. He does not own any rights to those records. He has tried to release Born Slippy on various different formats but hit a brick wall each time. Other things like I Feel You, its not in PvD's hands to release the track... It is down to the record label who own the record to actually approach him and try and get the track released, but this never happens.
