Yeah man that was a sick party, Paul van Dick dropped some seriously insane house beats. Are you coming for Tiesto next weekend??? 12 hour set I hear !!

i had an argument with a girl the day before labour of love, she told me that the big headliner was gonna be paul oakenfold. no amount of arguining changed her mind.

i guess you have to let people know that they are wrong about certain points they make regarding EDM, but there are some that you would just be wasting your time and end up pissed off

Really? Wouldn't that be this character?

^hahaha own3d.

No offense shawn, the guy you're referring to was obviously a smack-talking poser, but what you probably don't realize is that you've got more in common with this guy than you might think. We've all seen your posts and threads about how much you hate hip hop and how stupid ginos are and blah blah blah... I've generally kept my mouth shut but a lot of us get tired of people like you who pretend to be the most hardcore, in-the-know dance music fans in the world just so they can look down on everyone else and feel better about themselves.

Sorry to rip into you like that, and I can honestly say that the few times I've run into you you've seemed like a pretty nice guy - you just need to tone down the attitude at least 50 hues because you're still pretty new to the scene yourself.

Look, I think there's a fundamental point that should be made here:

It's one thing to talk about trance and EDM in general whether you know a lot or a little about it. I can't say I know everything about trance or whatever and that's fine, I can admit that.

But, if you meet or know someone who obviously has no clue about what their talking about but attempts to come off as if they do know what they're talking about, that's where I draw the line. There's no shame in admitting that you don't know some things that may be perceived as "common knowledge" (in relative terms) but just don't pretend like you know because chances are, you'll come out looking like the fool.

I think we all respect someone who can admit a folly or shortcoming rather than someone who tries to sound and act intelligent...

I've heard ridiculous stuff like, "Ohh, Beautiful Things? That's my favourite Tiësto song!" and "John '00' Fleming, I swear, he's a house DJ, right?" :haha:

wow, I can't belive someone who posted such things as 'what is a set' only a short time ago is posting about a stupid, or rather 'most stupidest' trance fan. and who cares if the guy was wrong, maybe he had a friend or sibling play a trick on him and tell him these things to try to make a fool of him? who knows where or why he he had this incorrect info, the mature thing would have been to say, 'I think you must be mistaken b/c Tiesto commands a price so for his sets and has such a huge following that they would have him booked to play a much bigger room than the orange room and it would have been promoted' why don't you try logging onto this informative website www.tranceaddict.com/forums to find out more about trance and current events'
