Cop kills two people on the highway *VIDEO*

Man, this is really disturbing. The cops started chasing them for doing only 85mph which is 135kmph. That's around the average left lane speed of most highways coming into Toronto. So of course, the chick got scared less and went even faster at 100mph / 160kmph. At that point it started to get dangerous. Bad idea, no argument there. But did she and the passenger really deserve to be executed for that? Because that's essentially what the cop did. What the hell else could have possibly resulted from him doing that?

Like i said, stupidity isn't a crime punishable by death. Imagine how her parents feel. And what about the passenger? Did he deserve to die just by sitting in the same car?

that's awful shame... that's why the police almost never use the pit maneuver; it too often results in injury and death to the people in the car and to people near them.

the pit maneuver was created to be used in low speed chases, but even then was too dangerous; you take two multi-ton vehicles and have them make contact at 100 mph and that's what happens...

It sucks for the Cops and the Families involved.

I was involved in a high speed police chase in North Carolina (I WAS NOT THE DRIVER), but when we finally had no choice, but to pull over the officer let us go cause we were "scared Canadians"

did she "deserve to die"? no.

did she deserve to be forcibly stopped. yes.

Diabolic...she wasn't "sentenced to death" or "executed". You're using highly inflammatory and inappropriate language there...both of those terms imply premeditation and intent...the cops had neither.

"of course, the chick got scared less and went even faster"...um, most people do not drive faster when a cop is trying to pull them over ;)

I have ZERO tolerance for people who flee the police and there should be *incredibly* high, mandatory penalties for anyone who does flee and is apprehended.

What was this idiot's reason for fleeing? She got scared or nervous? That's lame as hell. No, she didn't "deserve to die", but she's an idiot for fleeing and I don't "blame" the cops, although I'm not a fan of that manoever except in the most necessary circumstances (and it doesn't seem like this was one of them).

There would be a whole lot less sympathy for her if the police arrived after she had caused an accident that resulted in someone who was TOTALLY innocent losing their life.

I'd rather have seen the two cops try to box her in and force her to slow down...if she flees from that or tries to ram one...THEN do whatever is necessary. They have a tough job...I don't envy it at all...especially with dumb people like that driver on the road.

When she began to flee, she assumed the risk involved in leading a high-speed chase. Therefore, I hold her responsible for her actions and have no sympathy. In my opinion, she wasn't scared...she was intent on avoiding apprehension. The chase lasted over sixty miles.

That type of incidents ONLY happen in the states!!!! Where did the common senses implement to do such manoever on such high speed????
I understand the police need to stop the vehicle and eliminate the threats which can cost to the public. For example, when there is robbery happening and the suspect has a weapon while holding hostage. How come the police have to execute the suspect instead of shooting him somewhere on their body?? A single gunshot wound most likly can decrease the thread and able to capture the suspect alive.

My point here is that, there are many other alternatives for the police to choice but why does it has to be the deadliest one?? I really don't have an answer for that instead of many question marks! Can't there be a more civilized way to deal such incidents?? Prehaps you might not hear something like this has happened to foreign countries that are more civilized.

In the mean time, has anyone thought of the driver point of view is very. If we get into a deeper topic such as the psychological affects of people when they are under pressures, that might lead to many outcomes. Such as painc attack, lost of senses, unable to obey simple commands, etc.

My condolences for the parents of the two people inside the vehicle.

dude, if there were no cops then this world will be full with bloodshed.:whip: u need cops in order for a society to function. not trying to stress out on you or anything, but its just my opinion.;) and its not like the cop intentionally killed the driver and passenger. he was trying to do his job. if he did it intentionally, then i agree with you.;)
