Anyone starting college/uni in the next few weeks?

I start college on Tuesday and i literally cannot wait. Im going to be doing a National Diploma in Animal Management, then a degree soon after hopefully. The college is in the countryside just outside of the city. My gf is really jealous cuz their is something like 18 girls to every 1 guy...The majority of the girls are there to do equine (horse) studies, and its an international college....
I just cant wait! :D |

I'm not actually starting, but within a few weeks I'm going back to Japanese Language and Literature course (I gave up trying international affairs as the former course is giving me far more opportunities)... I'll hardly post then, as I'll take this course at night and I've got 2 day jobs now. :(

By the way, your girlfriend doesn't really need to be jealous of classes with too many girls.
It happened to me before when I studied international affairs in a private institution (The girl per bloke rate was something like 12.4) and, because of girls competitive side (or whatever), the class would continuosly split into small groups... If you even considered pulling one of the girls, or talked too much to one group, suddenly the rest would be jealous :p
When it's 50/50, natural balance is reached (and when there are too many men, it's really fun, as girls tend to be assimilated and becoming "guys" too, which results in chaos and disorder :D).
It's nice you're that excited, the course will be more pleasant that way. That must be one reason why I'm going so great in this course I'm taking: I love learning languages, and being so passionate about your studies/work, make it even more pleasant to do it, and you'll do it better.

Going to college should help me with some of my probs (if you read my posts about 3 weeks ago you'd know) cuz im really looking forward to it.
I've loved anything to do with wildlife and nature since i was a kid. I used to read books, draw pictures go for nature walks. Everything. And it really make me happy.
I've got a big grin just talking about it.:D |

How old is one generally when he starts college? |

In UK it's 16/17 when you start, straight after high school. Most people do A-Levels which is 2 years and then go to uni after that. |

You are basically doing what i did at college, i went on to do a degree in zoology, im in my 3rd year now, college seems like a long time ago. |
