Are you serious? Dude James Zabiela is THE BEST technical DJ out there. All of his sets include scratching, live remixing, looping and sampling. For the most part he plays a lot of prog/tech house and breaks. So uh yeah he is the man. |

ide recommend listening to his essential mix from 2004. Its my favorite mix by him, maybe because of the intros, he does two of them in the essential..Lots of samples from Vanilla sky, Lost in translation, Dr. Who's Darlek among others..minimum scratching in the whole set but when he does scratch it sounds very good..tons of effects.
Ive seen him live 2 times, and its amazing how he works the decks and interacts with the crowd. You should check him out.
ps: he's got a robot fetish or something hahaha, awesome. |

That gig was the last time I went to Houston. I need to go back and visit you guys soon. His set in Houston was good but his set in Austin was even better. The crowd in Austin was just really giving James a good vibe and that really showed in his set that night.
Since his gig in Houston was @ M-Bar back then there was a really big difference in the type of crowd. I remember that @ the Houston gig by 2:30 am most of the crowd had already left. In a way it was good cause that left the people that are there for the listen & dance to the music first and foremost. DEATH TO M-BAR! & Death to the "see and be seen crowd". :whip: |

| Damn, a post by the man himself. Unfortunately, I promised to take this girl to New Orleans the 1st - 5th (don't get me wrong, its far from a bad thing, but why do I always get screwed out of seeing the shows I want). Anyways, maybe I can catch him at a future show. Hopefully he will be in Texas more often. |
