Take the money from "your own" productions and spend them on a really expensive dj-teacher (or if you wanna keep it cheap, buy the "learn how to DJ in 21 days" book on amazon.com)

well, if my experience, the girls love a trance producer; once you get over the fact they tell all your friends that you are a DJ; I do DJ, but I'm not a DJ bitch - yep, I write the stuff that armin spins.. spins means plays... but you play don't you?
Also, how do you make a remix,
it's easy, you just load up mixmaster "pro" or some other such , get an acapella and use some loops that some other poor DJ ( - I mean producer) has created, then you call it your own, by adding "optik mix" to the end of the title

like everything in life, it's all down to timing - if you time it right, you'll move into a house where someone has decks... with some weed, you'll have a go - from then on, it's all about aversion therapy "don't do that to my f**cking records!!" - you'll soon pick it up

you take cocaine, add baking soda and put it in the microwave... but you really shouldn't be doing that.. sorry, did you say crack?.. no... ah, well refer to the question about remixing - just don't use the accapella

synthesisers these days can do pretty much anything - I'd avoid them and just use other peoples loops- it works for rap musicians
