| Sets are rarely recorded at Toronto clubs, as I've been told that they have to pay the DJ more to do so, and most clubs don't wanna shell out that kind of cash. |

I like all 4 of those CDs, Sharam's afterclub mix is probably the top on of the 4 for me tho. |

At LOL this year during Ferry's set, I saw a camera crew around the dancefloor all night. I assume they were videotaping this for his own purposes, or perhaps filming for the production of a DVD or something?
I'd love a DVD of that sort of stuff... |

deep dish gu025 is a comercial compilation it is nothing to compare to the quality they dilivered that night in the guvernment |

If it's a local DJ, sometime all ya gotta do is ask em if they mind being recorded.
I would love to record DJs, but the pro-gear to do it is quite costly.
I remember when I was recording the TA DJs at SystemS once, when DeKoze came up, he said he wanted a copy of the set afterwards on cd. At the end of his set though, he said he didn't want it "cuz he's picky about his live sets".. so the 8-track DA88 tape is just sitting in my media shelf at home. :rolleyes: :tongue2 :D ;)
I figure a big name DJ would want a copy and would ask for more money or even charge me.... not sure which way it goes. |
