hence the name "System sound bar" you would think that they would have a good sound system, making it louder didn't seem to help during their reno's. Boa's sound system is one of a kind I beleive! so clear - and it's probably the only club i actually can go to with out my ears ringing afterwards. So clear and crisp - for a post sound production graduate I should know! System is sucking with their sound - get it together. Better speakers and a better layout for acoustics should have been done over renovation time...

i'll choose system over boa anytime. Only sander k. can bring me back there, but only regular gig or "this is everybody too" release party.
now dont get me wrong, boa is nice place, i've been there 3 times and it was cool, but last time (scumfrog) i've seen something that made me sick, and i aint going back there unless sander spins (regular or some release night).
system is the place where i got hooked on edm, its the place where my shot of tequila and corona are waiting for me as soon as i walk inside, its the place where i feel really good, beter then anywhere else.
ears ringing???

I don't think people are requesting to see such and such a DJ at BOA because they're ticked off at System or they like the staff better at BOA. People want to hear such and such a DJ on that sound system, so what I couldn't/don't understand is System not doing something about theirs. |

I don't think it's a big deal, just really tought on the dough, quite expensive, I don't even drink in clubs for that reason lol |

| system back in 1999, 2000, 2001, was when system was at its peak!!! guvernment and other clubs could not even come close!!! i remember EVERY friday whether it would be a guest dj or a residents night it was ALWAYS something special!!! i think in time system will once again create something magical!!! |

| i dont consider system as a club, to me its like one big house party, smaller intimite crowd, good vibe, its the place i go to get away from the huge clubs, as for the sound system..sure it could be better, but for the most part i have no complaints, out of all the times i've been at system, the only time sound system was "too loud" was during Thirst.. |

I agree. System just needs to find their niche again. Ditch the cheesy foam party and start focusing on the music. They may not be able to afford big headliners each week like the guv but they don't need it. Concentrate on the intimate setting, fixing up the sound and focusing on the right demos and they will have nothing that any other club can offer. Hell, when you can pack the place with a few local guys you don't need to invest in the internation DJs each week...pump it into fixing the sound up and the people will return. |
