So i bought myself a keychain...

Hopped in my Civic and hit the road earlier today. A few blocks later, took note of the fact how incredibly sexy the red BMW Z3 looks in some guy's driveway. At Eatons, realized that my keychain broke and bought a new one... for a BMW. Hell, i've wanted one since i was a kid so i might as well. I've been planning to buy an Eclipse, but since a Z3 only costs about 20% more, why not take the plunge? Ironically enough, 10 seconds later my non-existant BMW was already helping me get laid. Some Asian chick saw me buying the keychain...

Girl: Is that for a BMW?
Me: No, it's for a moped
Girl: Wow... *doggy dinner bowl eyes*

I just told my mom and showed her a bunch of photos. She loves it :)

It's the BMW version of the Miata, so small it's "cute". Worthless with more than a few cm of snow on the ground (even with blizzaks), plus who would dare treat a car like this to snow!!

The thing to realize with the Z3 is that BMW had a billion options on this car and as a result prices vary significantly.

I wouldn't spend anything less than $36k (2000) on a car like this without wondering how much it had been beaten. I and certainly wouldn't spend more than $42k for a low milage 2002 3.0i, pretty much loaded.

Personally - there are better (all season) vehicles you can get for $36k to $42k (IMO).

To each his own though - it would be a fun car to zip around in on a day like today.

I can't afford a 2000, so i'll have to go with a 1998. Ah wells... at my age, i should be thankful i'm not taking the subway! Although admittedly, if you take the subway regularly, you'll meet more women there than ANY car could ever get you! :haha:
