[Absolute ripper of a night, best one I've had in ages! The short bald man from Holland tore things up tech-trance style, the whole place was going off :D

Highlight of the night had to chatting to Marco after his set, he actually remembered me from Godskitchen last year  He's like "I remember you, you were at the front last year, you told me to play Atlanta!" And I'm just like

A bit of tunespotting:
Marco V - GODD
Marco V - Atlanta 020202 vs Kid Vicious - Proceed
Damn Noa - Home (Like a Prayer) (Marco V.ision Rework)
Octagen vs Arizona - ???
Warmsducher - Right On
Adagio for Strings (Mat Silver & Tony Burt Mix)
Randy Katana - In Silence
Marco V vs Jens - Loops n Tings Relooped

I didn't mind Benjamin Bates either, he was a pretty good warmup for Marco with some funky tech house sort of stuff.

Good to see a decent TA turnout again, really just caps off the night :D

Just assume I said what webby said, but longer, more in depth, and with better track IDs :)

Nah, was great to catch up with so many of you last night, had some good chats!

Oh, and Muli, man, you're a champion for grabbing me those earplugs, wouldn't have survived last night without them.

the sound at some stages was intense.. the bass totally cut all other freq's out... muli and i were waiting for the speakers to die lol :D

yeah dead set it was in the breakdown .. play atlanta 020202 and the huge uplifting bit from last night won't be there :p

Those speakers were the reason I moved towards the end, standing in front of them all you can here is bass :( If you stand towards the middle of the dance floor the sound is much better. I'm fkn glad for the earplugs though, I guess I'm converted now :D

The bass was turned up way to high for my liking as well, it was like a wall of noise at times.
Some other observations:
-the local dj's were crap. Walked in at 11.30 to hear some locals absolutely banging out hardtrance/hardstyle. Have they heard of progression? Jumping Jack vs whatshisname were a bit better, but still playing way to hard for that time of night.
-a fair bit of the crowd were dodgy as. I got the impression these people were regulars who came every sat night.
-Marco's mixing was flawless. Its nice to see a producer who can dj.
-Benjamin Bates was wicked! First time I've seen him and I wish he could of played for more than one hour. Superb mixing and track selection for that time of night.
-Highlights were automanual, flaming june and bang bang.
-would of liked to have heard cafe del mar.....

They look pretty intimidating, but they're surprisingly friendly. Every time I go to Progress it seems really dodgy, but I've still never seen a fight there. Lucky you didn't go a couple of years ago, when it apparently was *really* bad...

I had an awesome time.

Only negative for me was having to leave before he finished. I jumped ship after loops and tings due to work today. Kept falling asleep at my desk. :(

Jumping jacks last track was awesome. Havent heard that out in a club. I remember it from Armin only, live oct 2002...

I've got a 13mb 1.30 min video of loops and tings if anyones interested.

I also thought the geezer that played before him was top notch to. Really good warm up set for what was to come.

PS Thanks to the chap who lent me $2.50 to get in. I didnt realise it was going to be 40 dorrah. I also didnt realise what form the method of repayment would be either. :nervous:
