According to discogs John Graham a.k.a. Quivver left "Tilt" and along came Andy Moor to join the group. So that means the CURRENT members of "Tilt" are:
Andy Moor
Dominique Atkins
Mick Parks
Mick Wilson
Skanna
My question is...
Was "The World Doesn't Know" and "Twelve" created by this formation of the group or where they made when Quivver was there instead of Andy Moor? Discogs isn't clear on when Quivver left, that's why I'm asking... |

Ok...
I found this at discogs just now for the release of "The World Doesn't Know" / "I Know Your Afraid":
| quote: | 1. Written by M. Park and A. Moor. Recorded at Spectre Studios, Stoke On Trent. 2. Written by M. Park, M. Wilson and J. Graham. Recorded at Amityville Studio, Warrington. Licenced from Tirade Records. Copyright Control.

AHHHH, ok I understand now.
"The World Doesn't Know" = Mick Parks & Andy Moor
"I Know Your Afraid" = Mick Parks, Mick Wilson, John Graham
I wonder which guys collabed for "Twelve" I guess that's my remaining question... |

John left the project more or less officially in 2000 after producing some tracks on the Dark Science EP and he wasn't part of Tilt anymore when it came out. You could easily notice the difference in sound when John was gone and Andy "Moor" Beardmore hasn't joined the team yet. Tilt was all deep and dark (boring) prog house IMO until they met Andy with who they found the melodic Tilt again.
I Know You're Afraid is commonly known as Tilt & Quivver - I Know You're Afraid, or so i think at least. I guess it would be easiest to wait when /if "12" gets out before their album "Explorer". Then we'll see who are behind what track in the more recent Tilt works. |

Ah Ha! I just found my insert to Oakeys "Creamfields" CD...
The credits for Tilt - "Twelve" go to Mick Parks & Andy Moor.
Damn I just realized, Andy Moor is having a great producing year in terms of quality...

| Basically Tilt now consits of just Parks, Wilson and Moor. Anyone else just guests as part of the group, even Quivver. |

| As far as I'm concerned, Tilt has been garbage since Quivver left, they used to make magical tracks. Quivver left then two things happened, Tilt immediately went into prog deadland and so did Parks and Wilson's sets (which has not changed since 2001). It is really a shame because their courtyard mix of Children was off the hook and some other tunes. I'm not a big fan of the new Tilt either, it is certainly better than the Parks and Wilson led group but still not Tilt IMO. |

| 'Explorer' will be released in January 2005 and will be a double cd album, the first being club tracks, the second being more house / downtempo in style. |

| Not much detailed info about the album but it's gonna be a 2CD, second disc being more chilled and laid back and first being suited mainly for the DJs, with club friendly tracks. Read more about it on an interview of them HERE. |

I completely agree. After John Graham left, Tilt became as boring as the rest of 2001-02 progressive. The Moor-infused Tilt is somewhat better, but still a far cry from the glory days of I Dream, etc. |

Although I prefer the Tilt of way back, I am happy to see Andy Moor join the team. I look forward to hearing Explorer.

PS. I was the one who added Andy Moor to Tilt in Discogs and removed John Graham...I can't believe no one noticed/did anything about that for so long! |
