Apologies from G&D to attendees of Space 09/18/04

hello all
it was awesome to see such a great early turnout for our gig at space last night. little did we know that we were going to be put on before the club even opened and then our set was to be cut short by both an arrogant sound guy his resident dj (how fitting that he started his set with the "what the " acappella). luis puig was not even there so u can't put it on him this time.
however, since our names were used to promote the night as if we were headliners, there will be a few things that will change if we ever play space again. one is that we will play all night.
and to make it up to the dedicated we will def have a meetup or an afterparty next time we're in miami.

wow I read the reviews on the FLTA forum felt bad but now man it makes me mad at those spacewhores. I'll be in attendance Friday in Beantown...although we don't have late nights. we have no jerks or bad vibes here. And I guarantee you a throng of fateful supporters I'm bringing with me from all corners of New England. Just ask you bring your vinyls, cd-r's, and good vibes and we'll all share in the spirit of Boston. And dont' be alarmed if you hear people chanting Yankee's suck ... it's just those dirty bronx bombers will be in town too.

I haven't posted my review in FLTA yet, but I had every intention of covering what you have stated here. Since you posted this here I will put my thoughts in your thread as well. You don't need to apologize. You're a stand up guy (I stated to you why in a PM). I was stunned that you guys were already on when we walked in. We even had to do a double take to make sure it was you two up there. You had a great set and the vibe in the room was awesome. I had a good time hanging out in the DJ booth with you two. You guys have so much energy and it shows that you truly love what you do. It was a pleasure hanging out with you afterwards. I am so sorry that we couldn't get an after party organized. We had no idea that you would be done so soon. Space are idiots. They treated you guys shamefully. I am not from Miami, but I think I speak on everyone's behalf when I say that we are truly sorry that you guys were put on as the opening DJ's and then not allowed to play the entire night. For what it is worth...I would most definitely go see you again.
It was wonderful finally meeting you and I hope to see you again soon. ;)

im glad you guys have a great attitude and dont rule out miami after an incident like that !! im trully upset with space for this crap :mad: if this ever happens again id really suggest you guys doing nocturnal night club !! thats gonna be the best place for parties with you guys !! it should open by oct 23rd !! i cant believe this happened and when i found out about it i was furious ! imo that was total disrespect !! but im glad you guys will be back !! and when you guys come down again .. we have the perfect place for the afterparty.. you guys were gonna go there but our phones were off.. we had no idea.. seeyou guys next time :toocool: |
