No Canada is an independent nation that follows its own path, we may not like it but that is what it is. Looking back on the Iraq conflict would you blame them for not blindly following us down that path. Typical of us Americans to start labelling and attacking other nations with sarcastic names yet I wonder why Bush cannot get help from anyone new or significant in global politics when it comes to Iraq. Maybe "Old Europe" has just a little grudge, I certainly wouldn't help someone who blasted me as weak, spineless, guttless, traitor, etc, etc.

You are right somewhat, Canada is such a multicultural nation that the people here of european descent tend to act more european than other racially european nations i.e. Australia, America. Canadiens just don't have a common identity or culture. In America and Australia they really left their european culture behind and created their own unique identity. But Canada has always been stuck between the Frank and (Angle-Saxon)Germanic identities.
I'm not saying America is not multicultural but they us a melting pot ideal into the American culture that Canada doesn't. |

More specifically, the Quebecois are wannabe French. I think that's a bit more accurate.

We'll take Alberta and maybe BC. States number 51 and 52.

America would never take another state unless there was no doubt they'd consider themselves Americans before anything else. Example: Puerto Rico
