actualy... its pretty good exposure for his track... you cannot control internet anymore... so you gotta deal with the fact that anyone can download and use the tracks you produce....

i would be pretty happy to see that people like my track.. and that kinna set would help to make this one even more popular...

no?

As a new producer, yes. I've seen my forthcoming track on gesture show up in a lot of tracklists by DJs I don't know of that certainly didn't get a promo from me or Misja Helsloot =P I don't care though, because: a) it's great exposure and gets my name out there, b) I'm not making a living off of this; any money I get is just icing on the cake, and c) I'm just not the kind of person that cares =P

I can see why someone like Max is pissed about it though. The only way I would personally be upset is if someone released a track of mine that wasn't yet signed to a label, thereby eliminating any possible chance of it getting released.

actually Funken I think most of the well known djs/producers would not want some unknown/looser dj like Alec (in their eyes) to expose their tracks, this will deminish their "image"

:stongue:
max graham
diminishes potential compilation signings too...which would draw far more attention to the track than this set...

that settles the "im promoting for the artist" argument, it's simply not true.

This didn't even cross my mind when I did it and in all honesty, I did just want to others to hear it, but when Max told me this it made sense, and I would def not do it again.
