The mixes these days

There seem to be so many monotonous drone-like mixes floating around now. Every song in the damn mixes is pretty much the same. Every song has that new bubbly/sine-wavish melody. No rise or peak at all.

Serious most of the mixes these days are good for falling asleep.

Perhaps trance has reached its crest?

What? Hard trance is generally the most monotonous. George Acosta is the king of monotony.

no, that's armin van buuren and markus schulz, same formulaic records, no innovation and the thing is...both can do better!

Ok true, some of the known name trance producers produce quantity over quality these days but it's stupid thing to say that Trance is dead. I personally haven't been following trance that closely in past few years anymore but I'm very happy to see that new names still rise all the time. I quess It's fair enough to say that trance peaked between 1998-2000 (1999 was my favourite year), but lot's of great quality songs are still produced. It's just harder to find the right ones for you these days...

Yeah. What do you call his music? Progressive Trance? At least everything he has played lately is hard trance. It's ty, but it's hard trance.

Most producers and DJs are either a) lazy b) don't know what they are doing.
