I really want to go to Studio 54

I really really want to go someplace as cool as Studio 54. Anything that is semi-cool is lame compared to that place and that time.
I wonder if crowding was a problem there?
PS. This all stems from the watching of "Behind the music: Sudio 54."

imagine that Studio 54 and ibiza was no more. one of them would be opened up for one night again. i think i would choose ibiza quite easy! it has more varity, it has more trance, it has beaches (more feeling to i would guess) etc. it doesnt have as many cool people, but that is not the most important imo. |

Disco can in many ways be considered the true origin of ALL EDM. I think 54 would have been amazing and often wonder how great it must have been....
Ibiza is nice and definitely amongst the best in our current day and age in terms of partying, but there's no way it could be compared to 54 in terms of pure vice. No way. |

you are entitled to your opinion but i wouldn't call a bunch of loud obnoxious englishmen variety.
studio 54 was based on the idea of variety. every type of person was in there. men, women, gay, straight, black, white, asian, old, young, etc.
everything was there in excess. |

There are lots of places like Studio 54 still around...even in TO there are some places that will compare I imagine :) But in any case - most TA's don't like places like that cause they have super dress codes, vip only and etc... :p
Most TAs I find usually complain about such restrictions on this board. |
