My own review,
Absolutely amazing atmosphere...
When I first got there, I lost track of my friends and just walked around working the room. Got many smiles and eye contacts from the ladies and jokingly mocked how some of them danced. =P
The mood was very up beat and there was plenty of room to move, aside from the main dance floor late in the evening, but still a lot of space to walk around.
The lounge areas were incredible. I'm used to the government style packed, dark, and cold areas. Lucid had a nice confortable, bright, and warm area to sit back and relax. The bartenders were friendly and the bouncers were upbeat.
The house room was an absolute joke though. The most I saw was about 10 people dancing and throughout the night it was close to empty.
The music did clash from different areas but it was loud in the areas that you wanted it to be and a little more suttle in the other areas.
All in all. I had a great time. Many of the people that I saw there looked like they were having a great time and I don't think I'll ever go back to packed and hot clubs again unless its Tiesto. |

hehe Fridays isnt even suppose to be the night to go there.On Sat they get 3 to 4000 people.:eyes: you should see the lineup for the place!! |

Yea, drinks are way overpriced. Didn't really notice the sound clashing, though if i did i probably wouldn't give a damn. The crowd is not knowledgeable? Who gives a damn how many tracks they can id? :) And i think you're judging these girls without knowing them. My friends and i have never bought, nor have ever been asked to buy someone a drink at a club. So i dunno where you got that from.

| Honestly, with the type of crowd that hangs out at Lucid I could probably get 50 numbers in 5 minutes by passing around a clipboard that says I'm from a modelling agency and looking for new recruits. I mean, these are women that defy the meaning of bimbo (not to mention men that defy the meaning of sleazebag). I honestly think you could meet more interesting people at CoZo. |

I couldn't care less about track IDing. When I refer to 'unknowledgable crowds' I'm speaking more about ones involved with the underground scene. Ones who know it's not about going out to get picked up or be seen with someone but to have a good time. Which brings me to the next point; the girls I saw there we by no means friendly, as I stated, it reminded me of Helium, where unless you offer to buy a girl a drink, she wouldn't even look in your direction. Maybe it was just a bad night(?) cuz I usually don't have a problem going out and meeting the girls myself, but in any event, the only time I can see myself going to that club is when I have a solid pre-drink under my belt and I'm going out in need of a good laugh of all the wanna-be highrollers present there. I'm more about going out and partying all night than I am going to a club to pick up good looking girls I have virtually nothing in common with.
And another thing....$20 cover and it closes at 4am. That's weak. |
