| aha this thread is jokes, this past weekend prior to reading this thread I was informed by a very gino buddy of mine about how much of a meatmarket Lucid is. My thoughts on the matter? Live and let live I say. Like Durafei said, we're all adults. Be who you want to be, do what you want to do. Our society is way to conservative and conforming as it is. |

I would argue that most guys have never done that(slept with a girl on a frist night). Yet, given the opportunity, pretty much all of these guys would probably jump into bed with a girl without even thinking twice.
I think(perhaps wrongly, but mostly likely correctly), that most girls in the club never slept with a guy on a first night either - yet they gladly would do that, if they met the right kind of guy. And also, remember - there is always that *first* time :)

LOL, that's pretty naive, believe what you want to believe though.
Think about what your implication is, though. You're saying that a club like Lucid could be full of hot babes who have never gone on a one-night stand before, but would do it with the "right" kind of guy - the "right" guy being someone whom they just met in the club, don't know anything about, and who only went out to that club to get like he does every other week. :p
There is always that first time, but there's only one first time, after that it's the 2nd or 3rd or 23rd time. I suppose it's possible to pick up a girl at a club on her very first one-night stand, but the odds are against you here, and even so, she could still be a whore on her first one-night-stand!
Your other comment was perfectly correct about people wanting to have fun and sex not being sacred, but I believe you took my quote out of context as I addressed that point quite directly in the full post. |

how about some more commentary on the music, vibe, crowd, staff, etc. from people who have been there?
reviews that centre around "lay" potential or the ratio of girls to guys...that's prety weak.
If the music, vibe etc. is so secondary, why not just go to Z103 nights where people will leave with anyone who flashes a little cash

wow going onto five pages of pure bitchin
so heres my scoop
myself and few friends decided to check it out since ive been hearing many different opinions of the club. so we headed out on sat at about 11pm, got to the club and couldnt find any ING parking my buddy was genouress enough to dish out $20. did some pre-drinking in the parking lot and got inline at about 12pm. by this time the club had reached capacity. so the bouncer says " when ppl come out we'l let u in". in the line We were chatting to a couple from south africa standing behind us and it their first time too. a bouncer asked me for a lighter and in return gave us all free admission to the club. once i got inside, i was ing AMAZED!!! the club had exceeded my expectations by far!
as you walk in, there is a huge dancfloor with bars along the sides and a large projection screen and two tv walls on either sides. there are also podiums with girls dancing.there are escalators going to upper floors, many rooms and secret chillin places. The club gets a 10 out of 10. MUsic played is more house and funky 8/10 but i do agree there way too many guys, so crowd 4/10.
maybe they should atract more girls by having free cover for them etc
my advice go check it out 4 urselfs |

Hmmm... after reading Bossi's post, I am wondering if I was in the same place.
Went with a buddy a few weeks back. For starters, I'm not a big fan of the waiting in line to go through the metal detector thing. I figure if teh Guv doesn't need to do this (and they are the biggest kids on the block) either the security isn't up to snuff, or the crowd is shifty.
Inside, there was a massive main room. Anyone who ever went to Playdium would be able to ID it - because they did absolutely nothing new to it. In fact, I think they REMOVED some of the lighting from the arcade, because they used to have a lot of moving head fixtures in there and now they have, like 6. Bland walls, no decor anywhere - even though they go straight up for like 4 stories.
The only change is that the climbing wall is now a DJ booth. The snack shop on the raised diais is now the dancefloor. There is still a freaking escalator that ends in the middle of the dancefloor. Security goons were conspicuously parked everywhere looking intense.
The sound system sounds like the ones they use in airports (and not the new terminal 1, either)... Course that is because the freaking room is 4 stories high with nothing to stop the endless echoes of the beats. Obviously little or no attention to detail to the sound system. I think that's because this place is about ANYTHING but the music.
Poppy crappy music. Slutty suburban chicks. Desparate guys in t-shirts that were a couple years out of date (err.. the shirts, not the guys) - and just a bit too tight. I think you can all visualize the scene. I am not a fashion nazi (I prefer shorts/jeans and a T-shirt, actually - but I felt I was dressed much more appropriately for a night at a "Super Club" (to use their own words) (and I apologize to those of you who went and liked it... maybe I was there on a bad night...)
Some of the smaller spaces were kinda cool, but the main room - the one that most people would pay $20 bucks for, pretty much sucked. I felt like I was in a humungous Crocodile Rock (actually I think I enjoy CR more because at least the drinks are cheap and ya get to party with firemen.) |

| Bossi, i agree with everything but what you said about the crowd. Perhaps you went on a different night, but when i was there on Friday, the crowd was incredible. I've never seen a higher hot-girl-to-guy ratio! They were all incredibly friendly too. I'm starting to think that there's something horribly wrong with Saturdays though, at all clubs. I'll post about this soon, but in a nutshell, i dig the Friday night crowd a lot more regardless of the venue. |

wheni say that, I mean going TO THE club lookin to pick up is LAME
whenyou meet somebody at a club without the intentions to pick up and you just meet somebody and have a good time can be quite rewarding. Except when they live in another country and are goin back the next day....:whip: :whip: |
