if your an xbox fans don't read anymore and talk a walk.
anyways, hi all ps2 fans. my question is, will the ps3 be stronger this time compared to the xbox 2? so far sources are saying it has an upper advantage in power and other stuff. that the unit's processor is going to be much stronger and smoother than the xbox 2's power pc7.
gimme some info.

Anyway, you won't know which is better until they are both released and have 6 or so months under their belts. |

exactly...of course 'sources' are going to say ones better than the other...its called marketing. Tell the public how much better it is before it even comes out. The thing that will make it better than XBOX 2 will be what makes PS2 better than XBOX....3rd party developers. If XBOX had a bigger gaming library, then they wouldnt be as far behind the PS2.
on a related note, Sony announced a new Playstation 2 model SCPH-70000 (to be called the PSTwo?)

You are so right, people seem to forget that a visual stunning game that is no fun to play is nothing more than a nicely moving picture, while a not so good looking game that is fun to play become classics. |

yup you heard me I dint say I like them, I didnt say they are great, I didnt even say they are alright. I mean why play something on a low resolution TV with bad graphics, that I culd be playing on PC with great graphics, and with resolutions in the thousands... plus great sounds.

simply put, 80% of the games on consoles won't ever appear on the PC. an even better reason would be due to having to keep your PC up to date with the latest specs. you talk about high end graphics and sound, but in order to accomodate those features PC gamers are required to constantly push hardware whereas console gamers do not.

ps2 elitists, what a joke
everything worth playing on the ps2 has a better alternative on another system. morrowind and KOTOR own final fantasy, zelda owns all jak and dexter type games, and halo and far cry own any feeble attempts of the ps2 to come up with a decent shooter. soul caliber 2 is universal, but the extra characters on the xbox and GC are much cooler. not to mention that xbox live and PC internet own ps2 internet. I don't feel loyal to microsoft or nintendo, but the ps2s massive library doesn't count for anything when the games themselves are inferior. |
