those are some good games that are xbox exclusive and extremely polished. you have to admit though, 95% of games that are for ps2 and xbox look a helluva lot better, not to mention play better on the box. |
I enjoyed Gotham 2 but other than that, there isn't much, rallisport 2 isn't bad either
xbox games can't compare to the monsters on PS2, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid (yea it's on xbox too but after a wait), Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto (yea it's on xbox too but after a wait also)
those 4 series destroy xbox games
wonder why MGS and GTA came on PS2 first and then later ported to xbox eh? yea u guys gotta steal our good titles to keep up haha |

it's not a matter of stealing. sony simply has a contract with rockstar, konami (for MGS), and square-enix for their games. those are the ones that keep ps2 afloat imo.
as for the xbox, most of the titles lean towards fast paced "action" games. there are plenty of titles (for both systems) that receive a lot of press: recently like dead or alive ultimate and halo 2 (both are incredible). there are many other titles that don't receive as much press but are still a blast to play like metal arms: glitch in the system and otogi 2.
i personally picked the system that suited my taste in games the most. i prefer the action genre, therefore i chose the box
when i think long and hard about the ps2, i can't really think of too many games, other than the big titles, that aren't on the xbox as well with better graphics/playability. think of this discussion reversed, what games does the ps2 have other than the FF series, MGS series, GTA series and the Gran Turismo series?
in the end, it boils down to taste in games really.

how bout Devil May Cry also?
the thing is, does XBox have many big titles either? and do those titles match up to the big titles on PS2?
I personally have a PS2 just to play those top notch games and not much else cuz I don't really have the time and I don't really wanna waste money on sub-par games
in terms of taste I just see it as

devil may cry is a decent title. first one was a very enjoyable action-adventure game. didn't care much for the production values of the second one. it was lacking imo.
big titles for xbox would be the halo series, ninja gaiden, fable, mechassault and crimsom skies: high road to revenge (both considered old skool but goodies). Remember, Xbox is the first of its generation whereas the playstation has had some history (which is where all of its top title series stems from).
both are good systems, but it bubbles down to which genres you're into the most. |

X-box live is great and PS2 online is total crap.
PES 4 is going X-box live and Square Enix is planning to cancel FFXI for PS2 and bring it to X-box. And that's all of the sad online mode for PS2.
And PS2 fans tell me why that is because the other arguments of u is total crap... Online gaming is the future so PS2 need a good network!!
Star Wars: Knights of the old republic was great! Dead or Alive is great, Outrun 2 etc...
And in the future they have this Rare exclusive's: :crazy:

but yeah, i agree with your statement about online play. a buddy of mine who was an avid ps2 fan ironically d/c it, put it back in its packaging (after 3 years) and hooked up his xbox.
i just don't feel that the ps2 has anything left to offer after GTA:SA (which is a phenomenal game) and MGS3. |
