är glad att mamma lärde mig svenska redan som liten...skulle känas fel att inte veta något om henes backgrund eller språk när man inte har samma "native" språk som någon av sina föräldrar..:) blev konstigt det här tror jag:p

you have to press shift for the " otherwise you get ' which results in a French accent à .. it's the quote key near the Enter/Return button.
anyway... i stil don't know the difference between hans/sin
I know why they have different forms (hans/hennes/deras and sin/sitt/sina) .. but the difference between the words is described VERY vaguely in the books I read.
It has something to do with possession but it's stil unclear to me.. |

Our textbook teaches us some weird phrases....=/
For example :
A: hur ar laget?
b: underkontrol!
i said that to my swedish friend and she said dont ever say that
(guess they teach us some dorky phrases in there) |

these days they only say: läget?
literally it means: what's the position?
:p
under kontrol means under control.. but I never heard that as answer to läget either.
officially it should be hur är läget btw, you may hear it ocassionally |

I've never heard " under control" as an answer on that either, although I've heard swedish ppl saying "hur är läget" as in "how ya doin" ....
I guess you have to be living there to pick up all these phrases ppl normally are using in their daily life:) |

yah its like how they say "its raining cats and dogs" in textbooks as the most popular idiom, yet i never hear anyone say it in the US...
wonder if ill remember all the swedish i learned when i go home in jan...ill just practice here =p |
