My uncle has a very limited edition Mercedes in Norway, but it doesn't have the model number on it. I don't know for sure what it is. I'm thinking like an S500, but I think he said they only made 100 or something. It has the sensors for parking so that you don't hit anything, cherrywood dash. It is sick.

i'd take a bmw over mercedes any day...

Word.

BMW is a good car in general, and they usually don't look bad either imo. But the taillights on that one... I gotta agree.

looks too generic and not much different from a civic. I would much rather get the new Acura TL.

I love my Civic though. 4 door SI with LS-VTEC, SI suspension and brakes, and GSR Tranny and Axles. All from an LX too. My car used to suck royal ass. Now it's a pretty fun ride. I need to do my exhaust and get a cold air intake as well as paint the car, but it's coming along. I wanted to do the B20 conversion, but I don't wanna spend another $1000 for the block.

if i had to chose a benz... CL55AMG all the way.

*edit* pic

i think the showy benzes are totally over priced...they lose like 15k in value as soon as you drive it off the lot, in my opinion.

my bf has a 2004 SL500, and he's had more problems with that thing than ...not like engine problems, but the interior and mechanical stuff. i was detailing it the other day, and when i was wiping down the head rest part of the seat w/ a leather wipe, all the stitching came lose and like part of the leather covering was hanging off...it clips right back in, but still, i was like what the ! $110k car...that should NOT be happening...his trunk acts up a lot too when clicking it open. it gets stuck and you have to click it like 3 times...and just little things like that, it's annoying. i think that car should only be about 80k.

his best friend has the 745Li, and i've driven it a few times (i love being designated driver when we go out drinking..lol) there's no comparison. i mean, the SL is more fun, and has plenty of power, but i just prefer the other one. that's me though.

*edit* neither can hang with this baby though:crazy:

New BMW: Kinda like the front actually, esp how it's similar to the new Audis (the hood scooping all the way forward, to the bottom-front).
Don't like the rear, esp the bumper - too big! Reminds me of a Maxima.

New Lexus: *BARF*

My friend wanted to get an SL500, but he already has way too many speeding tickets as it is.

German automobiles are great, but they are so high maintenance. I had a 2000 A4 and there was a lot of upkeep on it. Turbo probably made it worse, but still. And, of course, my warranty expires and there's all sorts of I have to fix. Japanese cars are so much easier to maintain, and way cheaper to maintain as well. I'll take convenience and reliability over flash and status any day.

Need more infos on the A4. It's the one car I've actually seriously considered purchasing. If you could make a short list of pros / cons and your overall opinion I'd much appreciate it :)

or how about the masarati quattroporte :eyes:

I currently drive a BMW 5-series, but I would probably buy the new Maserati over a BMW.

edit: it seems that the newish Aston Martin Vanquish has been the most influential car in a generation.
