There couldn't have been a better way to begin experiencing GLOW @ FUR! After hearing so many horror stories about opening night, I wasn't sure what to expect. As it turned out...the night was so great I can't wait for my next time back @ the new GLOW!
The night started off perfect! I had no problems finding FUR. Decent places for parking weren't hard to find either. There were no long lines and the free pass was accepted. Note to all newbies...get in early!!!!!
Once inside FUR...there was so much that impressed me! It was the total opposite of Insomnia and Nation. FUR could never be confused with some old warehouse. Hands down the most beautiful club in DC ever! It was obvious that a lot of effort was put into designing and building the new club! My only surprise was the main room. It was about the same size as Insomnia's main room. Still...it was worlds apart. There was much better ventilation. The sound system and the layout in the main room was perfect! Last but not least...the crowd was just right!
As for the music...Pete Moutso's opening set rocked! Anyone who still dismisses him is a fool! Once Marco V took the decks, all hell broke loose! I've seen Marco V about five times...I must say it was the best set I've ever heard from him! It was relentless, it was brutal, it was good! I only recognized a few tracks from the set...however I loved it all! It was absolutely impossible to get away from the main room! It just seemed that Marco V's set ended a little early! I couldn't have been happier when Marco V closed out the night with Loops And Nights! Marco V owned!!!!!
Shoutouts to all of the great GLOW peeps I saw this time...

what an awesome night, i can def say i have a place i can call home again, everything that i missed is back! a bunch of the tru glowheads came out to party, and it was just like old times, all of us on the dancefloor all night long partying it up! and no rude s this time, i'm really glad the grand opening hype died down. we finally have our glow back!! YAY!!!

i had a great time. i like the club much more than i liked insomnia (although that place will always have a special spot in my heart), but the bass was overwhelming sometimes. i thoroughly enjoyed dancing on the platforms -- they're a perfect size. and i said this as an expert in elevated dancing surfaces! i'll be home in annapolis for family stuff the weekends of the 16th and 30th, so i may make it to glow for those parties.
brian -- i found a hard place ;) however, i still have a temporary case of tourette's. |

i'm SO sorry i didn't call you back...and you can be my stalker anyday :p i had a big test today (monday) so i kinda hibernated all weekend...will you be there for MIKE? or ARMIN! you must come for glow-ween :D
