i Know I am going a bit off the subject - I dont want to start another thread, but ... first of all, The movie is a bit overexagerrated cause Bush is not as dumb and funny as he looks to be in the movie. Corporations and rich people are financially supporting his butt to run the office - no wonder why Americans are pumping oil out of Iraq - for the price of Americans' lives. Kerry has little chance to win in these upcoming elections. No matter how bad the movie makes him look, I dont think Kerry can do any better, especially in terms of resolving the Iraq conflict, which is a LOSE LOSE situation, any way you look at it.
Kerry's plan to join Kyoto Protocol, for example is a DUMB idea for US, but good for the world. I mean, think about it: why would an American president ruin American economy by joining the treaty ONLY to appease the world?! DUMB! Though I support the treaty. I am glad Russia signed.
Or Kerry wanting to join World Crime Court (whatever the name is) organization: Why would an American president have some court in Holland prosecute Americans, in TVs of the whole country? That will be an embarrassment and a shame for him, but it will be good for the world. Wouldn't he want to prosecute comrades on American soul intsead, not halfway around the world?
The way I see it, he wants to run the office, so he supports things that Bush opposes ... what a joke. We need another canditate for US president, who has better goals. Both of them have so many similar goals: world peace, democracy, the end of Al-Qaeda, cut taxes, etc. etc. BORING! |
