hey keithos27 nice car man, i'm sure everyone in this thread envies you, hehe. unless someone has a new M3 or M3CSL!
the e36 smg was different to the smg used in the new m3 though right?
but who cares, why get smg when u have the normal manual stick
and to whoever said to get the smg, the manual owns it. yes the smg will give better 0 to 60 time, but it takes away so much fun of a manual car. driving is more than just 0 to 60 right?
and keithos, hehe looks like you are lucky and have a rich daddy, haha lucky u |

Anyone see that show on MTV called "Pimp My Ride?"
That's an awesome show hehe, and I ing hate MTV.
I was driving an old Chevy truck for a bit, but that used way too many dead dinosaurs. So, my brother and I *switched* cars since I'm always traveling and he's sticking around Austin.
Right now I be rolling up in a 2001 corolla.
Seriously though, the corolla is great on gas, and I was able to recently take a 4400 mile roundtrip through West Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado for only a couple hundred bucks (gas money).
There's no way I could have done that with a 4.3 liter V6.
I do love driving a truck though more than a car.
My ideal car would be a 4X4 Nissan frontier, Chevy Colorado, or Toyota Tacoma crew cab with a gas/electric hybrid engine.
That way I could use the bed as a base to set up my camera tripod for enhanced perspective, have off road capability, and still be able to afford to travel.
Brothers rule.

i should get a picture of it, the front is smashed after I crashed into a brand new Mercedes |
For some reason I thought of that Simpsons episode where Homer test drives a Yugo or something and the salesman says "put it in H!"

bbjohs, thanks mate. i don't think anyone should envie me... each car is awesome in it's own right... :) i love my m5 though...such a great balance of sport car/luxury car (imo). i was considering a carrera 4, m5, and m3 when i got the car.... you can obviously see which one i decided on. the m3 is a nice car, and the csl is nice but not really a "practical" car.. no radio, air con, or even a thick trunk matt. very cool looking though! (Y)
the smg on the e36 was indeed different...first gen. i agree, i like manual the best, but auto makers are certainly trying to push smg on the public now... it's been the standard in f1 for quite some time, and more and more car makers are making it the "standard" on their new cars... i.e. the e60 m5 (smg only in the us).
oh and like i said... i have the m5 because i have a small penis. :toothless :thepirate :D

eeeh? no radio, air con in an M3? you must be joking but air con and radio is even a standard in cars like daewoo and hyundai's base cars.
Actually the new M3 and M4 is going to have same properties as the M5 such as I-drive etc. and the same engines are shared between the current 3's, and 5's cept between 3 & 5 M series and the 545i. |

You gotta save weight somewhere, and if you can cut the unnecessary things to save weight then do it. |
