I wrote Mauro Picotto a thread on his website, and he responded back to me. This is what he has to say about him playing on the same night as Ferry:
This is what I wrote to him:

I always have a great time when you are DJing, but I just want to let you know right now that Ferry is going to be alot of competition for you, because trance is very big in LA. So you better show LA what you are made of!!! Make the people who came to see you be glad that they missed Ferry.... and make the people who are going to see Ferry regret that fact that they missed you.

Looking forward to LA. In response to the comments about Ferry. I feel that the people that want to listen to Ferry should go to listen to him. For me its not a competition as he cannot play what i play and i don't play what he plays. The people that love more trance should go to listen to him. I play a different style than what i was playing 3 years ago. Electronic music is more underground and it's understandable that there are less supporters as it's more futuristic music and for me at the moment it gives me more than playing hit tracks.

I thought it was very nice & thoughful of him to respond back. Honestly, anyone who is thinking of missing Mauro on the 16th (especially the people who have never seen him before), think again!! Not only does Mauro rock, but god only knows when he'll be back in LA. He's publicly announced that he is going to cut down on touring. On the other hand, Ferry is in LA a few times a year.
But like Mauro said, if you are more into melodic trance, then it's better to just go see Ferry. :)
If anyone is interested in reduced guestlist for Avalon on the 16th, PM me!!! :D |

Got my ticket!!!! YAY!!!! Can't wait... Let's hope Mauro doesnt dissapoint me this year!!! If he does, I'm ready to name Christian Smith my new TECHNO GOD!!!!!!! :haha:

| man tranceaholic and woody are going too? maybe i will go. seen ferry twice and i dont like trance all that much anyway. hmmmm i WAS gonna take that weekend off to spare myself the difficult decision...maybe if a certain someone could sway my judgement...... |

i heard from someone that ferry is also going to be in san diego (im assuming the 15th)...i checked his website and it hasnt been updated, can anyone confirm this?...or have any info on it?...THNX
