I think that was the original intention. Infact I'm pretty sure it was. |

Yes yes, how does that make it any worse for the producers.
And it seems we're almost finished with our first week of advertising this site which isn't going down judging by its latest news in which they explain why what they're doing is legal. I don't get it. Is TA against this site, or are they now simply trying to inform artists so that those artists can have their tracks removed if they so choose? |
What they were doing wasn't 100% legal. Can you not read? One of Terry's tracks was NOT licensed. It has never received clearance from the label that the sample is from. They had no right to promote it as a licensed track. Where the hell did they get it from? The label? Hell no. There is no label because it isn't signed. A lot of those tracks on there aren't licensed. Their intent was to make money. That's it. They realized they ed up. Maybe if they would have taken some time to do some research they would have saved themselves the headache of all of this. They obviously didn't so to me they are idiots.
You don't think I haven't accomplished something this past week? Get a clue. Everything that is associated with Terry has been removed. Not a big deal to you obviously since you were probably on there trying to buy everyone's . Oh wait...that's right...you would never actually pay for the music that you download. Silly me. |

Apparently all the tracks are there by permission, and the ones that they don't have permission from labels on are there for promotional reasons(i'm assuming not unlike online stores with audio samples aka amazon.com, cduniverse.com), and they ask those artists/labels for permission before selling anything to people. This doesn't seem logical or smart. So either they're lying or are idiots like you say. Is there any way you can tell they are lying? No.

All hail the internet superwoman. Do you people even have any proof that they have sold ANY tracks to ANYONE illegaly?

*ho-hum* As much as I am for file-sharing, I have to agree with this statement, and most of you queers (yeah, bring it on :thepirate!), that charging $$ for tracks that you don't own and w/o permission (unlike free sites/programs that let you share for free) ain't exactly cool...tsk, tsk!
Then again, I've never heard of any of these tracks/DJ's/Producers until this thread came up - what was that saying about 'any publicity being being good publicity' -hmmmm hmmmm hmmmmm hmmmm???
Oh never mind, now I'm just being an ass  - I'm with neovalkyr on this one. |

As much as i think Radagast is a !#^%@(*%&^!!!!, i kind of agree with him on this one.
I can say that this site SELLING these is a "tad" worse then giving them for free...but either way you cut it the producers are getting the shaft.
The hypocricy on TA is astounding...100% of the people on here download sets, singles and full albums each and every-day...and in some warped demented way find some rationalization for their actions. Yet the minute someone posts their live sets on EBay or sites like this pop they are all over it, yapping their self-rightous nonsense that producers are getting hurt because of this. You can not condemn this site for doing what they are doing, if at the same time you are trading MP3s...hypocrits.
And i know 20 different people will say that they DO support the artists and actually go and buy the CD or vinyl or what have you...but do me a favor and feed that nonsense to someone else...i have been around and you are all full of $#!T...
People need to stop floating around in their self-rightous ether as if they are morally sound in the whole MP3 distribution era. We are ALL responsible for producers getting the short end of the stick...but at the same exact time we are the ones who make and break these producers...Half these guys would be nobodies if it werent for MP3 trading.
So next time you go on a frenzy about people selling MP3s, stop and think to yourself...are you just bitter because they are making cash off their trades and all you got was Sandstorm for yours? |
