Maybe we're mixing racism with stereotypes which can be very damaging too. People (depending on their level of sensitivity which is a whole other issue in itself) would be offended if someone mentions that they're race is full of crackheads and that they can ruin a party with their zombie-like state on the dance floor or the size of their genitalia is inadequate.
The problem too is with some people, they brag about how they hook up all these asian girls and have a night of wild sex with them. It makes it seem like they're all easy and that they desire a larger piece of equipment. (Maybe he's been watching the Transporter too many times) I hope we're all smart enough not to place labels on someone we just meet based on the color of their skin.
I went to VIVA last night for the first time to check out George Acosta, which was amazing btw, and ironically enough, the only girl I saw snorting coke wasn't even Asian. |

yes, i agree that generalizations should not be relied upon EVER. But generalizations are the human brain's way of condensing a flood of information in order to process it. It works on probabilities and perceptions. To have prejudice in a good or bad form is a natural human trait.
To say "italians make great pasta" is no different than saying "italians are hot tempered", It just so happens that one is a negative statement and the other is postive.
Gneralizations should never be an absolute rule to govern you by though. People are individuals and have unique traits regardless of what culture they come from. However there is no denying that culture is the single most defining thing when it comes to your personality, and how you act. |

IMO, no one can't judge by very few observations and then sum up a conclusion saying, ALL Asian don't go out on Saturday nights. If we have eyes to see, ears to listen & a brain to think, there's a good sugguest, think twice b4 making any unnessary comments or asking any pointless questions.
Plus the term "Asian" can be summed up with many different cultures & races. Which could offend those who don't not fall into a specific catalogry. The final word is, don't making a comment when you have very little knowledge of it and don't act like you know something when you don't. |

Straight from the source, folks... being PC accomplishes nothing other than to provide a warm and phoney sense of self-satisfaction.
The Karaoke thing could actually be true, I've had a few of my Asian friends try to drag me out to those. And don't get me wrong, that's fine if that's what you're into, but I don't sing in public. :p |

| Kareoke is very true. Its the reason Viva fills up late on Friday nights. This fact is coming right from the source. Now tell me another culture in Canada that goes to kareoke en masse before an all night club? This is exactly what i mean when i say that you CAN generalize and make assumptions about different groups of people. |
