All are at least 192k and most are ripped by professional release groups or agents :)

Ah well - uses a U2 sample.

That's because the "Tiësto" set isn't a Tiësto set at all. The real Events Hall 11-09-04 set beings with Interstate - I Found U, not this breaks tune. The tune that this set begins with isn't even in the set at all.
This guy is handing out a totally fake set.
Edit: For reference, here is the real tracklist of the Tiësto events hall set. The tunes in the set this person is offering for download are not played by Tijs at all. |
Please check b4 u open ur mouth with accusations please!
You will find the Interstate Track at 34mins in then the set plays as tracklist.
I apolologise for providing a FULLER 300mb 256k set :p
(thanks to TM)

can anyone provide traclists? smorin? |
YES! They are ALL real :)
Many are provided to me directly by the DJ's eg DJ Precisions set or with approval by the DJ's eg Mike Shiver etc!! Some are from friend who have sites or my team of agents / release group (PdK)!! |

by the way, concerning the tiesto set, i know how the set u provided is fuller, but is that just the end of a set from another dj?
cos on the tracklist forum everybody believed that the set started with interstate- i found you,
so i dont know, if it does start before that, any chance of the tracklist for the beginning 34 minutes?
thanks thanks for sharing! |

Again, someone else seems to be missing the point.
Let's examine overall quality, shall we?
Factors affecting quality of sound:
- Quality of the encoder's hardware (SNR, impedance, etc...)
- Quality of the encoder itself (Yes it's true, there ARE different kinds of mp3 encoders out there)
- Quality of the original source (AM Radio vs. FM Radio vs. XM Radio, etc...)
- Quality of the recorder's hardware.
Even if we ignore all of that and focus solely on bitrate, the bitrate argument is still irrelevant. Bitrate isn't always a measurement of quality, it's just a measurement of the encoding quality. Case in point: the 6 hour Sasha vs. Zabiela set generously provided by the thread starter. The hats sound horribly distorted, there's a thin layer of white noise enveloping everything, and the bass frequencies seem to have been run through a HP filter. Yet my decoder says it was encoded at 192K, even though it sounds closer to 96k. Re-encoding something from a lower bitrate to a higher bitrate does not magically make the quality go up, it just takes up more space. |

Wrong.
1.) Tiësto does not play U2.
2.) The mixing is not like Tiësto. It's actually quite good, not just better than him.
3.) The tracks before Interstate sound nothing like Tijs tunes.
4.) The second track is a live act, and you can hear the vocalist say "Mr. Daniele Davoli!" Checking this, you will notice that he played at this event, before Tijs.
So why does it keep going? Most likely because Tijs just mixed in from the other person's tunes.
Please check, yourself, before you guarantee the authenticity of a set. ;) |
